“The staff are super accommodating and lovely, all the food served, dinner, breakfast and the packed lunches are yum as. Room and bed were spacious and comfy. Highly recommend to anyone doing gorilla trekking at Buhoma.”

“Excellent lodge and location for exploring the area and gorilla trekking!! ”

“My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived.……

“Wonderful stay! Friendly staff and the food was incredible. We would definitely recommend this to somebody who wants a great food experience and nice accommodation while visiting the gorillas! ”

“A lovely place with spacious rooms in very close proximity to Queen Elizabeth Park. Staff were also helpful and very friendly. Rooms are secluded with their own verandahs.”

“The bungalow was nice, spacious, especially the terrace overlooking the mountain forest was beautiful. The food was good and we also appreciated a good bottle of wine with dinner. It also has the advantage of being just minutes from the main gate to the national park (Rushaga Gate). The place is harder to find though, more signage would be appreciated. ”

“Het is een eco lodge, dus troebel water uit de kraan, je haar niet kunnen föhnen. En de prijs- kwaliteit verhouding was niet reeel. De lodge was veel te duur!! We hebben betere en goedkopere lodges tijdens onze rondreis gehad.”

“The place is very nice and clean, however we felt a little bit scammed for the price of the food which is over European standard. They only have one choice and asked 20$ for it and you really don’t have other options in the area. They let you pay also the water…the road to come is very bad also. I’d not stay again”

“Excellent chef who prepared the best food from Uganda! Very friendly manager.”

“We would have liked to give this lodge a good review given its quite stunning location very close to the sector entrance, but unfortunately there were too many negatives bringing down the rating. Let’s start with the positive: * Proximity to the park entrance * Spacious rooms * Growing vegetable and fruit garden. Ask the gardener to give you a tour. * The manager did provide us with useful advice on where to drive on safari These were the negatives: * Dirty rooms with bat poo on furniture……
