Combination of good location in front of the harbor, and good atmosphere of the industrial, cozy interiors. The rooms are carefully renoveted and well-equipped, especially the stylish bathtub. Close to the lightrail station and newly-opened shopping complex, I feel the hotel is of the best ways to enjoy Kaoshung’s recent urban redevelopment.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The biggest problem here was the parking. There's a lot right across from the hotel, but it is extremely difficult to figure out -impossible really- unless you read Chinese very well. However, the staff went the extra mile and helped me with that. This was definitely outside what one would expect, as there is no relationship and the hotel clearly says onsite parking is not available. So, they went above and beyond when they helped us. There is a light rail station about 20 seconds walk from the hotel front door, and good access to shopping and art-related areas within a few minutes walk. Few if any Western guests, and the staff has limited English. Overall very good choice.
This is a very very good hotel. It’s new, clean and well designed. And the location is terrific. My only criticism is that the room cleaning was a little disappointing and could be improved. But really this is a minor issue.
The location of PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is excellent.. it’s in a vibrant area that’s perfect for walking and exploring. The hotel was fairly clean, which is always appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel felt incredibly unwelcoming. The check-in process relies on a QR code system, which didn’t work, and instead of keys or cards, you are given handwritten multiple long access codes just to enter the building and your room, a frustrating system, especially when you are tired from travel. The room itself was very small and lacked basic amenities. There was no kettle, no tea or coffee provided, and nowhere to hang clothes. Adding to the discomfort, there is no staff on-site at night, which made the place feel even more impersonal. While the design of the hotel may appear stylish at first glance, it felt over-designed with little attention paid to actual guest needs or comfort. The aesthetic choices don’t compensate for the lack of practical features.Pricing is on the high side considering the minimal service and amenities.More broadly, I found the late check-in and early check-out times common across Taiwan quite frustrating especially for international travelers. Being left without a room between 11 am and 4 pm, even when the room is clearly ready, just doesn't make sense. Overall, the area is lovely, but the hotel experience left a lot to be desired. A little more focus on hospitality and user comfort would be good.
Very very basic room at premium prices. Absolutely nothing in the room. They do t care for anyone who is non Chinese speaking.Thwn you have to check in using your mobile and qr code .what happens if you have no mobile or no understanding about or qr codes ??? Then you need a code to enter the building and your room . But the message we got was the hotel internet is not working bongood songind anyone between l
