Escape to "The Dawn", surrounded by mountains, wildlife, and rich ecology where you can see butterflies flying, and fireflies glowing at night. This Kaohsiung stay is set in a a R&F leisure camping farm with easy access to swings, cafes, walking slides, and other leisure facilities. Have a cuppa coffee anytime you want!

「曙光初現」 是位於台灣高雄市的一座小房子。與熙熙攘攘的台北相比，這城市顯得更加悠閑，這裡有許多摩天大樓林立、當地珍寶和港口景點，包括378 米高的高雄85大樓、美濃客家文物館、佛光山佛陀紀念館和駁二藝術特區。

室內空間約4.3坪，環境舒適，配備完善的水電供應、分離式冷氣、小廚房、烹飪器具及衛浴設施。
優質的衛浴設施遵循生態永續發展原則，內有沖水馬桶、洗手台和淋浴設施 （瓦斯熱水器）。
我們注重自然資源，使用環保馬桶等方式節省水資源，保護環境的同時滿足房客需求。

The Dawn is a tiny house located in the port city of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. A more laid-back city in comparison to the bustling Taipei and home to many skyscrapers, local gems and port side attractions including the 378m tall Tuntex Sky Tower, Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum, Fo Guang Shan, and The Pier 2 Art Center.

A comfortable 155 square-feet accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

If you plan to spend your weekend getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. If you forget something, there are convenience stores 3 kilometers away, such as Family Mart and 7-11. Thank you!

曙光初現鄰近高雄美濃、旗山、杉林和甲仙區，你也可以藉這次的機會到這幾區走訪，首先是美濃區的美濃客家文物館，那裡保存了豐富的客家文化，從衣飾、美食、屋宅、音樂等方面，展現客家人在遷徙過程中為適應環境所創造出來的智慧，體驗完文化之旅後，你還可以體驗作美濃紙傘，嘗嘗客家粄條，各區也有不同的當地特色，如旗山香蕉、杉林葫蘆、甲仙芋頭酥和芋頭冰，其中美濃、旗山、杉林，這三區風景優美，也都有非常適合悠閒散步的環境，如：旗山中山公園、美濃湖、杉林木棧。

既然都來到高雄這座大型的海港城市了，怎麼能不順道好好玩玩呢？除了自然景觀外，還有許多當地特色與觀光景點，能讓你感受到豐富的文化魅力與人文風情，像是佛光山佛陀紀念館，擁有亞洲最高的青銅坐佛像，是高雄佔地超過 100 公頃的著名宗教地標，或是可以到年輕人最愛的駁二藝術特區，離旗津不遠，是由廢棄倉庫改建的開放式藝術空間，主打當地藝文作品，各處可見藝文商店、書店和電影院。

The Dawn sits in a massive port city in southern Taiwan, Kaohsiung City. Where you can explore small streams, ecological trails, lookouts, happy farms, and other nearby attractions.

Our local recommendations：

- The Jiaxian District is famous for its taro crisps and taro ice, for your snacks and refreshing bites on the go.
- You may find Meinong, Qishan, and Shanlin local specialties nearby too, such as Meinong flat rice noodles, paper umbrellas, Qishan bananas, Shanlin gourds, etc.
- Qishan Zhongshan Park, Meinong Zhongzheng Lake, and Fenqihu Cedar Boardwalk Trail are nearby sightseeing hotspots for leisure walks around scenic surroundings.

Other attractions:
- The Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum is Kaohsiung’s tribute to the rich, ethnic Hakka culture, displaying the different facets of the Hakka people.
- Fo Guang Shan has the tallest sitting bronze Buddha statue in Asia, a popular religious landmark that covers an area of more than 100 hectares in Kaohsiung.
- The Pier 2 Art Center near Cijin Island was an abandoned warehouse area turned into an open art space, filled with local artworks, artistic stores, bookshops, and cinema.

- 從高雄火站搭乘高雄客運至佳縣，可通過杉林當地的出租兩驅和四驅車前往附近城鎮。

By car ：

- Take the Kaohsiung Bus to Jiaxian, and you can reach the destination via local 2WD and 4WD vehicles in Shanlin.

By public transport:

- Take the Kaohsiung Bus from Kaohsiung Railway Station to Jiaxian, and you can access nearby towns via Shanlin local 2WD and 4WD vehicles.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking and fireworks allowed on the property
- Reservation is required for breakfast, along with additional charges
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note :

- Don't forget to close the windows and lock the doors when leaving the tiny house
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
