Oceanfront room and it was great. Beautiful sunrises. Comfortable. Great food outlets next door at Coconut Market place including prime rib at the ABC store! Love it, you can't beat the location within walking distance of Lava Lave for music, drinks, breakfast or dinner.

I loved where this hotel was located. There were places to eat next to the hotel. The staff at the front desk were not too friendly and we could not get checked into our room until 3:30.

The view was perfect, sunrise every morning sitting on my lanai. The day time staff were very friendly and helpful. When the pool was too crowded, we just found a couple lounge chairs on the beach.

The view from our room was exceptional. It was on the second floor right on the ocean. We stayed there for three weeks and we received excellent service from the staff in the reception, especially Apolonia and Analese.

Staff support was lacking. Front desk was our only contact and the various people there at different times had one thing in common. Lack of concern and empathy. Hot water was not available in our two rooms for two days. Their concern was robotic. Offered a communal option on day 2. No offer of compensation up front so I have yet to see if anything happens. No management or maintenance personnel on weekends. The room was dated. Lack of outlets for charging electronics. A couple of lamps not working. I paid for ocean front and got ocean view. I was not notified ocean front was not available. Waiting on a price adjustment for both rooms. Please be aware of the details such as this should you stay there.

Beautiful and fun hotel located in a lively location on the a gorgeous beach. It was rainy and stormy on both nights but still very comfortable and I enjoyed setting and the big waves! Clean, quiet room with a view over the water.

Room downgraded due to “ repairs” was a major disappointment. Still waiting for reimbursement of room charge difference. Room was always cool and damp. Not sure if we would stay there the next trip back to the island.

I will start by saying the grounds are beautiful, very well kept and lush. We loved everything about the outside spaces. The Sand Bar was great and a nice touch. However, our room was in desperate need of bathroom renovations and overall updating/painting in the main room. The air conditioning unit above the bed rattled loudly throughout the night. We will be back but will choose a different room. Our unit to avoid was Rm 316 in the Hawaii building. Thank goodness we were only in it one night. When my husband talked to front desk in our way out, the staff member was dismissive and didn’t seem interested at all.

Older outdated property- kinda reminds me of older quality inn… wonderful Location and landscaping but prob wouldn’t return! Roaches in our Toaster and we had to buy pillows for the bed. bar was out of most of the things we drank and made no attempt to send anyone to the store so we were about disappointed as no other options on the property.. few super casual carryout food places within walking distance but nothing great. We did find fine dining near by Thankfully! Also we had someone following us around the property which we did report and maybe crime is now up a bit on Kauai? Seems the locals have not a lot of options for work and the Kapa’a area is financially struggling… if we ever return we would stay on North Shore instead.
