“We booked the suite since we were a group of 5. The suite had 3 rooms so we would have been quite comfortable but due to change of plans it was just us 3. The hosts were warm and welcoming when they greeted us. Breakfast was lovely each morning, and they provided helpful suggestions for sightseeing. At night we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace playing boardgames and cardgames and they kept the fire going and turned out candles after checking with us. We thoroughly enjoyed the rustic charm of……

I particulary like coffee available in the early wee hours for us that hike at dawn and the added breakfast treats are wonderful!! Truly a special place in the heart of the High peaks !! “We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again.”

“We stayed in the cottage. The location was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Our host Jeff was lovely, prepared a light healthy breakfast each day and always had a recommendation for our day trips. At first glance, the cottage was nicely furnished and neat. However, we were disappointed and felt uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness of the bathroom, kitchenette and cabinets. The drinking glasses had obvious marks from previous guests. “Our stay at the Interlaken Inn was wonderful! Owner Casey and staff member Heather could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests and comfort. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we could want. Our room was beautiful and breakfast in the morning was much better than your typical continental offerings! We were even given a handwritten thank you note when we checked out! If you are in Lake Placid you should chose to stay at the Interlaken Inn! You won't……

“Such a wonderful place. So very clean and cozy. Wonderful people. Unfortunately the bed was far too soft for our liking. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!”

“We were looking for a B&B in the country with wonderful views, good breakfast and close to Whiteface Mountain. We certainly found that in Bark Eater Inn! Each morning we had a wonderful farm to table breakfast prepared by our friendly hosts, Meghan and Wendy, while enjoying wonderful views from any window. Whiteface Mountain was only a short drive away (a must see)! Our room was comfortable and the house decorated tastefully. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and hopefully will……

We stayed in the Norway cabin which was so cute and super clean. The cabin was equipped with everything you need... even a Keurig coffee machine! We especially enjoyed the fireplace. It was such a wonderful experience that we're ready to plan our next visit. 5 stars in our books! ”

“The cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed, plus was in a great location for hiking some high peaks. Rick was also always available to answer any questions we had. One note is there is no cell service at the cabin but as long as your phone has WiFi calling you are good to go”
