A great, clean, and well maintained facilities to stay for the night. The Wi-fi, TV and AC excellent. The balconies overlook a busy small harbor, a fish market and gas station , the people watching was engaging. The breakfast offerings were simple and sufficient, if you have to have amenities like an exercise room, pool or crappy free scrambled egg breakfasts this might not be the place for you, but if you're low key and are looking to enjoy a unique slice of Great Lakes life, this is a great place.

Harbor Lights Lodge has a back parking lot that is kitty corner from the start of the Ahnapee State Trail. This was very convenient as we were bicycling that trail. Room was clean (laminate wood floor) and quiet. Walking distance from restaurants and the harbor.

The room was nice. Quite large actually. Very close to the harbor and lake. It was a quick stay for us so we did not stay for breakfast. We left early. Everything seemed nice and the location and price were great. Maybe it was just me, but was there a fresh coat of paint everywhere? Kind of looked nice.
