A TRUE CARIBBEAN PARADISE! Location! Location! Location!
Starting Jan 2026 , this beautiful cottage will become monthly! Stays will have to be 28- 30 days. Discount of 10% for monthly stays. Make plans to stay longer, relax or work remotely from paradise for a full month in 2026.
The Conch Retreat Condo is located in the prestigious Truman Annex. This condo has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, queen and 2 twins (or we can convert the twins to a king bed upon request). both TV's with cable.
Free parking spot comes with condo, however you don't need a car. Free High Speed Internet. There are 2 bicycles for your use with helmets.
Fully equipped kitchen. Has everything you need for your stay.
This upper floor condo has doors that open up to back deck where you can relax around the tropical trees. Great for your morning coffee and reading. Bathroom with walk in shower, medicine cabinet and storage cabinet. Vanity and shelves for storage.
Washer & dryer with iron & ironing board.
Living/Dining area has table with seating for four.
Front balcony opens up from kitchen with seating.
All towels & Linens including beach towels.
Large heated Pool for Shipyard guests only.
You are in a gated community off of street in a quiet community.
Explore the Waterfront/water park behind the complex. Amphitheater, splash park, playground. Stroll to the Waterfront Pier and enjoy the sunsets and sailboats. Mallory Square is famous for local vendors and amazing sunset celebrations.
Road to Fort Zachary Beach is directly behind complex. You have opportunities for swimming, picnic, grilling, snorkeling, and fishing. Visitors can also enjoy a short nature trail and bicycling within the park. The beachfront Cayo Hueso Café offers snacks, cold beverages, beach sundries, and souvenirs. Two blocks to Duval where you will find shopping, restaurants, night clubs and museums. Visit the Historic Seaport District where you will find dining, entertainment or catch a sunset cruise. There is so much to see and do. My husband and I take pride in our vacation homes. It's our home away from home and want our guests to be comfortable and enjoy what Key West has to offer.

The owner/host was great to work with and answered any and all questions in a timely fashion. The condo is located in a nice neighborhood that is close walking distance to the primary tourist areas including Duval street and the Truman Waterfront as well as Fort Zachary Taylor. We had a great stay and enjoyed our time and accomodations.

Lowell & Jean were excellent host. They responded quickly when I had a question. Their condo is in the best location - quiet & close to everything. Unit was clean. Queen mattress was very comfortable. The access to the bikes & beach towels was a plus!

We had an awesome stay here and were very comfortable with all the required necessities. Truman Annex is our favorite location/community to stay in as it is close to everything including Fort Zach, Sunset Pier, Mallory Square and of course the Duval Street area. We biked somewhere every day on the two included bicycles. We highly recommend staying here.

BEWARE…. This is not a gated community as stated. Only gates for automobiles. All sidewalk entries have no gates, anyone could walk in. We stayed one week in mid August and our unit was broken into twice. When we arrived, we stripped the beds to put our linens on and found the mattress cover had blood stains on it. We called the owner and she never called us back. We went to the store and bought a new cover and when we return, the unit door was wide open. We called the owner and she said “oh my that’s never happened before.“ One of the two bicycles was broken and we had to take it to the bicycle shop and pay to have it fixed. The bicycle did not have the state required safety lights. Again we called the owner, no apologies no empathy. The unit is nice, but it is outdated with water stains on the ceiling in several different places and water damage on the walls in the bathroom and the paint peeling off. This was a very expensive VRBO to stay at and we were most upset with this. Smoke alarm was broken. We came back the fourth night and again front door was wide open, called Key West PD and filed a report asked to see the security camera at the gate and was told the film is erased every 12 hours. Call the owners again no apologies no empathy. They have our money they could care less. No deadbolt on front door very dangerous. You could open it with a laminated library card. There was a deadbolt, but the owner removed it and covered the hole up with a steel plate.

Directions were easy and accurate. Kitchen was better equipped than I was expecting which was nice. Wi-Fi worked fine. Access to the neighborhood was a piece of cake. Best thing though was the location. Sandwiched between Fort Zach and Duval Street meant no need for a car (not even a golf cart either). Oh, and there were chairs and towels for the beach—nice touch. I’d stay here again. I already recommended the place to my sister who visits Key West every year just like me.

This place is both quitely tucked away, and in the middle of the action of Key West. Everthing you need to stay awhile is available, and getting grocerices nearby is easy breezy. Pool is nice and refreshing after day activies. A balcony that lets you enjoy the weather and watch all the roosters, hens, and biddies make their way around the palms. Fans ceilings that give the cool moving air in every room. Charming photos and discoveries by the owners adorn the wall and cubbies of this cozy paradise.

We were thrilled with the property as always. We have stayed here on multiple occasions throughout the years. Perfect location with easy access and all of the amenities one could possibly need or want. We requested conversion of the twin beds to a king bed and it was perfect.Another great week in paradise!!

Our Annual Trip

My husband and I have been going to Key West for at least seven years. This is our favorite condo in Truman Annex and we would definitely like to stay here again.Please know that the condo was very clean when we walked in. One suggestion I can make is to leave a swiffer mop in the closet with wet swiffer pads so one can wipe down the floors. We stayed there for a week and I just thought I wanted to do that for our own benefit after a few days. We look forward to coming back next year! Thank you!!!!

when looking at the photos it looked like 2 levels. NOT ALL upstairs. We did have one friend who was on a cane. Very difficult for her. We thought she would stay in the lower half - couch. Didn’t realize ALL baggage had to go upstairs. The cooler and cases were heavy. We are over 60. The listing should state that .

Much needed vacation

Condo was nice. Very clean and very nice location. Perfect for the two of us. I would not recommend for two couples though. Just too small. Bathroom very tiny. Cannot accommodate two adults to even brush your teeth. Beds were okay, blankets were super soft and comfortable. Shower terrible pressure and there’s an opening for a door that just lets cold air in Not great. Beach chairs and towels were very much appreciated. Neighbor next door was elderly and watched Fox News every morning starting at 6:30 am very loudly. Could not believe we could hear every single word. Very annoying My husband had to go next door to ask him to keep it down in the early am. He was apologetic and did so for two days. lol. So that was annoying. The grounds are beautiful. Reminded us of Hawaii. Truly. Pools were also nice but definitely not heated as advertised. Overall love the area.
