The restaurant/ bar had horrible service. No servers, went with my family and we were never attended despite telling the bar staff we were there in a table waiting for someone to come. We had to leave to another restaurant.

Everything ok, cool location just far 15 min by walk from the city center. We had not breakfast. Rooms are big and clean. Negative points are the absence of some charging points, only one close to the to. More over theres no wc brush, its something that in other irish hotel you have. A part from these minor points I suggest the structure

Had a one night stay at the Parkavon Hotel . Staff were brilliant , were accommodated on a last minute request for the pool for a group of 8 . Nice stay and the paid breakfast was also quite nice . There was complimentary parking for guests but finding a parking apace could be tricky during summer months as Killarney is teeming with tourists .

This hotel was like an oasis of calm and comfort. It offered a suitable and knowledgeable starting point to exploring the Killarney lakes on foot or shopping in town. Breakfast was in a very pleasant room and provided a healthy start to each day. Staff were extremely honest and phoned when we left valuables in room.

The Parkavon is fine, although not special. It was mostly very clean (although there were hairs in my sink when I arrived), and my room under the eaves was pleasant. It has a slightly tired look -- the carpets are particularly threadbare -- and it is quite far out of town (a 15 minute walk). But the price was good, and the staff was generally helpful.

A pleasant stay at the Parkavon Hotel for myself, my wife and two children. Hotel staff were polite and friendly, large car park for us to be able to park our hire car every evening. We didn’t opt for breakfast as there is a Tesco, M&S and Lidl all within a mile distance, so were able to pick up fresh pastries from there every morning. We did have dinner one night at the hotel and it was very nice. It’s centrally located, all amenities within a short distance. It’s a perfect stop off destination if you want to do the Ring of Kerry which we did. Price was reasonable considering other options. I’m very happy with our stay at this hotel. We stayed in one of the cheaper smaller double rooms, which was perfectly adequate.

half marathon stay in killarney

loved the hotel and it was exactly where we needed to be half way between the town and the race. the leisure centre was a great relieving agent after the run and the breakfast was excellent

Never again.

I arrived a few hours after the allowed check in time and my room they gave me was not cleaned. Hair in shower on floor of tub and walls. Also what looked like finger or toenail clippings. I went to use the toilet and it was stained with poop. I asked for another room that was clean. They said we will give you a renovated room that are only located in the 3rd floor. Then the offered me free breakfast for the morning and told me to book a time with them. I told them 8am. When I arrived the next morning the staff had no idea what I was talking about and said I had to pay. I had to go back and forth with them until they finally said they found the note. I finally ate at 10am. It was only two days and one night and honestly that’s all I could take. Also my room looked out to the side of thier building which had long untrimmed grass and what looked liked an old broken down child’s toy car and bench.

Cheap and cheerful

Superior family room was very basic and old fashioned. No luxury, no drinking water in the room and room was dull with small window. Checkout at 11am was strict. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Basic 3 star hotel for the money.

Disappointing stay

The pool was small but warm. The room was big. Got food in the bar & i ended up with food poisoning. I was up for most of the night vomiting. The manger refunded tue price of our meal & apologiesed. It made the stay less enjoyable
