This house was exactly what me and my family needed for a much overdue get away and reset. To be able to be out in the country and to be able to just hear and watch nature while you forget about adulting for a little while was beyond rejuvenating. Communication was smooth and very quick. Ted was also very nice during his visit to make sure we got in ok and that the cows were ok. This home made me remember what it was like growing up as a kid with my siblings on our family farm that we sadly no longer have. The walking paths were easy and very beautiful as well. The house is well stocked with pretty much anything you can imagine as well. I think we have found a new yearly rental for our family get away to this area.

Farm in the woods

This was a great family getaway spot. It was away from the hectic city and quiet. The only diversion was the occasional visit from the cows and the were wonderful. These wer very nice accommodations for our whole extended family.

We absolutely loved our stay at this secluded property! It was the perfect family getaway, and being able to bring our dogs made it even better. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by pastureland with cows grazing nearby. The home was exceptionally clean and very well-stocked with everything we needed. The bathrooms, showers, kitchen, and bedding were all spotless and clearly well cared for. We also appreciated the fresh spring-fed water, which was clean and refreshing. The host was onsite when we arrived and was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He shared some of the property's history and explained how the home sits on an active cattle pasture, which added to the charm of the experience. While the property feels wonderfully secluded, it was still convenient—about 40 minutes from Mohican Adventures, and we were even able to have a Walmart delivery order brought to the house. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful country retreat.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting!

We loved our stay in this beautiful farmhouse. The home itself provided plenty of space, while feeling “together” at the same time. The property is huge, which gave tons of privacy and gorgeous views as we walked around the immediate area. It’s close enough to nearby attractions, but far enough out to be peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend it!

Secluded Getaway

The property is an actual working cattle farm. We had some great hikes walking the property. It was great to see the cattle walk down to the water hole in the morning and come back up the hill right past the house. Property was well stocked and wi-fi worked well.

Gorgeous Get Away!

We had the best girls weekend here with our two dogs! The house is absolutely beautiful and so well equipped. We spent the weekend cooking in the big kitchen, lounging in the stunning 3 seasons room and letting the dogs run around the property. We loved seeing the cows wander by the windows in the morning. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back!

Off-the-Grid Beauty

A great country house with lots of land, a pond to fish/swim in, and beautiful views. Off the grid in just the right way. Ted was very helpful and responsive. The house was clean and well cared for. The location makes a day trip to Mohican State Park or Amish Country easy.

Staying at this quaint farmhouse was one of the highlights of our 5 day family vacation to Amish country. Some days we didn’t want to leave. We felt like we were on Walton’s Mountain. The host told us to get up to see the sunrise over the hills. We got amazing pictures of grandkids sitting on haystacks watching sunrise through misty rolling hills. The kitchen is fully stocked and there’s a grill outside. Plenty of room for 9 of us and we didn’t want to leave. Hope to go back. Thank you Ted for a wonderful experience. It’s our first VRBO experience, and doubt nothing will compare.
