Staying at this quaint farmhouse was one of the highlights of our 5 day family vacation to Amish country. Some days we didn’t want to leave. We felt like we were on Walton’s Mountain. The host told us to get up to see the sunrise over the hills. We got amazing pictures of grandkids sitting on haystacks watching sunrise through misty rolling hills. The kitchen is fully stocked and there’s a grill outside. Plenty of room for 9 of us and we didn’t want to leave. Hope to go back. Thank you Ted for a wonderful experience. It’s our first VRBO experience, and doubt nothing will compare.

The property sits on 160 acres in the country. Beautiful setting up on the side of hill. very peaceful and quiet. Only hearing sounds from the cows, grazing near by. Alot of room in the house and Very clean. We would definitely stay there again. Our 2 boxers loved the place as well

Wonderful Getaway

We had a family get together over the holiday weekend and wanted somewhere quiet where we could visit.The property is quaint with great scenery and so many places to relax and unplug. We enjoyed the scenery, star gazing at night, and seeing the cows. The house was well stocked with everything you need. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend! This was the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and reconnect with family.

Great farmhouse experience

House was very clean and well stocked. Refrigerator ice/ water wasn’t working and said temporarily out of order. True farmhouse with no A/C and only a large but loud whole house fan. Not the best on ninety degree days during the day but nights cooled down enough to be tolerable. We were gone during the heat of the day so hard to relate at that time. Brought fishing poles for the grandkids but pond had so much algae that the fish were dying and it didn’t smell very well. Several dead fish floating on the surface. Couldn’t toss a line in without catching a bunch of pond scum that prevented anything to find your hook. Cows making daily travels between pastures were a hoot! Overall a good experience that would have been great with available A/C and cleaned up pond.

Farm in the woods

This was a great family getaway spot. It was away from the hectic city and quiet. The only diversion was the occasional visit from the cows and the were wonderful. These wer very nice accommodations for our whole extended family.

Enjoy The little Things

Great start to kick off our summer!! Thanks for sharing your place for us to enjoy!! We enjoyed a nice peaceful and relaxing weekend at the farm!! We enjoyed cooking out, fishing at the lake and relaxing at at the the fire pit!! Plenty of space inside and outside the house to enjoy!! Cows came for some visits!! This Place Was Great!

Can't say enough good things about this home. The setting is awesome. The house has plenty of space. We met the owner, and he was extremely polite and helpful. I will be trying to stay here any time I go to the area in the future. It was great!

Secluded Getaway

The property is an actual working cattle farm. We had some great hikes walking the property. It was great to see the cattle walk down to the water hole in the morning and come back up the hill right past the house. Property was well stocked and wi-fi worked well.

Fun, relaxing weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, peaceful property. The house was beautiful, well stocked, and very clean. When we weren’t visiting the Amish shops, we were back at the house enjoying the peaceful beautiful landscape. It was hard to leave. We will definitely be returning.

Beyond great experience! The house was cuter than the pictures could show. The land was beautiful and the walking trails were fun. Definitely would recommend for a fun trip and you could stay at the house the whole time and have a blast.

Gorgeous Get Away!

We had the best girls weekend here with our two dogs! The house is absolutely beautiful and so well equipped. We spent the weekend cooking in the big kitchen, lounging in the stunning 3 seasons room and letting the dogs run around the property. We loved seeing the cows wander by the windows in the morning. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back!

Off-the-Grid Beauty

A great country house with lots of land, a pond to fish/swim in, and beautiful views. Off the grid in just the right way. Ted was very helpful and responsive. The house was clean and well cared for. The location makes a day trip to Mohican State Park or Amish Country easy.

We really enjoyed our time here and enjoyed the serenity this place has to offer. Great opportunity for nature walks. Definitely needed to slow life down and we certainly did. Family Vacation

This property is definitely a get away from the real world. It was definitely an experience without AC but the weather was perfect and no one even complained once about not having AC. The house has a big house fan and with the windows open it kept the house cool at night, and during the day we were out. The property has a good size pond on it and the boys fished a lot, and played out on the property. Just sitting back and listening to nature and catching up with family is just what we all needed. The Walmart is about 20 mins away and Kroger's about 30 mins, there are a good amount of mom and pop restaurants, and Amish restaurants & markets. I would highly recommend this property

A great stay….again!

This was our second time staying at this lovely farmhouse. During this stay, we had our extended family with us to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Plenty of space for each of us, and we were able to spend more time exploring the gorgeous countryside along the property’s mowed walking paths. There is no air conditioning; however, the house stayed perfectly cool with the use of the whole house attic fan. Thank you so much for providing a great stay and a beautiful memory!
