"Room was large and clean, dog goodies were a noce touch too. The hotel itself was in a great position with great views of the surrounding area from the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast and both were ver well presented and full of flavour. We shall be returning soon👍"

"Host was very friendly and extremely helpful. Cottage was clean, bed was comfy. Log burner was great in the cold weather. Parking right outside the Cottage. Poss walkable to the two pubs but one has a nice size carpark, axbridge and cheddar gorge a short drive away. One of the close by pubs was dog friendly. Didn’t try the other one so can’t comment on it being dog friendly. Wells is definitely worth a visit. Would recommend. "

Our room felt luxurious - it was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a great bed that guaranteed us a perfect night’s sleep. Patricia was a wonderfully welcoming host who made us feel completely at home and truly spoilt us throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, with an impressive variety of food served in a spectacular dining room. The entire house is elegant, warm, and stately, filled with interesting art and antiques, yet still homely and inviting. It’s peaceful, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located with amazing walks and stunning scenery right on the doorstep. We couldn’t be happier with our stay - highly recommended."

If I was pushed to have a slight negative comment it would be that there were no instruction booklets for the kitchen appliances. "
