Beautiful property!!!

Gorgeous property and views of the mountains. Owner was very nice and responsive and house had paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Plenty of room for kids to run around and quiet, safe street. Loved it!

Great weekend getaway

Todd was very responsive and accommodating throughout the whole process. The house is huge and has all the amenities you'd need - just make sure to bring food! The beds/sofa are big and comfortable, and if you are looking for a relaxing weekend, the pool table/tv/hottub/grill, etc will keep you entertained and busy that you don't really need to leave the house. LOVED the huge deck and the view.

Perfect NY Escape/Too many positives

We came up here with a few friends and everything was perfect. I've heard some horror stories from friends who have rented in upstate, so I was apprehensive, but everything was as promised. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the A-frame was perfect for a much bigger group than our 7, beds were super comfy, the hot tub was perfect, and there was plenty of firewood. When I want to go away again, this place will be first on my list.

NYC retreat!

If you're looking to enjoy the murmur of silence and remove yourself from all the city sounds and stress, this is the house to spend a long weekend at. Completely removed from the world, perched on top of a hill with a spectacular view of the mountains and trees, it gives a whole new meaning to peace & quiet. This house is perfect for a couple or for a group of friends. Personally, romance is in the air at this spot. With a jacuzzi tub built into the large deck, a couch made for pure lounging, and a fireplace crackling, it embodies all of what you're looking for in a getaway. It had all the amenities I needed to stay somewhat in touch with the city world (i.e wifi, pool table, 50" flat screen) .. but nothing compared to the views, the morning sunlight beaming into the large windows of the house, and the simplicity of waking up and enjoying life in the middle of nowhere.

The property wasn’t maintained well. There were bugs in the bathroom and some of the lights in the house were not working. When I called the owner he was very rude and said I am on a vacation and I do not want to be disturbed. Deal with your problems. Not worth the money.

Highly Recommended! Be back next Summer/Fall

If you are looking for a quaint, country house stay in The Catskills, then this is a great place to do it. The house was clean, comfortable, easy to find and just a short drive in to Woodstock. Had all the amenities we needed for 8 adults and 2 small children. Took Todd's advice and visited the country store at the end of the road - GREAT recommendation - the make some kind of mexican breakfast sandwich with hot peppers, onions, eggs, lettuce, and I think there was breaded pork too Im not sure exactly what was in it but it was fresh and fabulous! Also, the Peekamoose for dinner was unbelievable , to find such a gem in the middle of the Catskills.The weather was a little chilly so we didn't get to enjoy dining on the porch as often as we would have liked but we did enjoy the hot tub every night of our stay and sipped cups of cocoa in the tub and by the fireplace. Late at night we couldn't see the view of the steam but we could listen to the water flowing in the creek....so peaceful! Would recommend to friends and family. In fact my mother (who we brought here last Summer when she visited from Boca Raton, Fl) has requested we look in to availability when she and my grandmother come up next Summer.

Disappointing

One of the only reasons we chose to stay here and not our usual place we book for ski vacations was because it offered a hot tub which was broken the entire stay and host just kept sending someone and explaining to me process to fix it. In addition, we had small children and my mother who is older staying with us we were concerned there was a missing spindle from upstairs where kids discovered and became a hazard for entire stay as well as not having a handrail on steps. I wish it was disclosed as not suitable for children under 7 as other properties do. The “4th bedroom” was a bed in the open loft area no privacy and finally the cleanliness was very disappointing, very dusty floors carpets not vacuumed with dead flies on them sticky handles etc sinks and toilets not properly disinfecting among other issues

Would Not Rent Again

This house is not what I expected at all. The photos make the house look amazing when in actuality, the house is smaller than it appears and is quite dirty. There are stains on the sofas and carpets (in almost every room), not to mention raggedy filthy carpet in one of the bathrooms!! The "chef's kitchen" is a joke. The oven looks older than the house and there is barely any counter space to do preparations. Also, the pool table was missing some pool balls. Luckily, our group was easy going and made the best out of the weekend, but I would not rent this house again. I'd be much happier in a cleaner house. Finally, the owner tried to claim we had stolen 4 towels when all the guest brought their own towels (and linens). Just unbelievable.

DO NOT RENT

If you want a relaxing vacation, expect anything BUT relaxing. On the way to this rental, many of the roads were falling apart due to the past hurricane. So prepare for a drive that makes you feel like you are in the beginning of a horror movie. This of course is not the owners fault. Owners fault: Check-in was anytime after 12:00pm. We came here for our honeymoon, ready to relax. We arrived around 5:00pm to find an empty case of beer outside the front door, a tricycle outside, a car, and a whole family inhabiting this vacation rental. As they looked at us like we had 5 heads, the owner- Todd- had no idea we were coming. He thought we were coming on Sept 23- Friday when our reservation was Sept 19-Monday (not even close to accurate). As he went in his house, he realized he made a mistake and offered to treat us to dinner while this house was cleaned quickly in an hour. This house was suppose to be cleaned up professionally by a maid, not quickly by the owner and his wife and kid. We felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Advising Todd we were not going to stay because of his mistake, he did give back the full refund; but refused to give us back the deposit saying he was insulted we asked for this back. Once again, this was his mistake and we were insulted in the unprofessional business operations he has. From the outside of the house, I do not even know where he took some of these pictures from. Perhaps Photoshop helped. We did not even want to see inside the house, but I assure you this is ANYTHING BUT A HOLIDAY, BUT AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE IN THIS RENTAL HOME. This is NOT a vacation home. Instead, this is a home that a family lives in and when someone happens to rent it, they go elsewhere for the time being (very creepy). I am one that never writes complaints about people or services, but I do not want other people to fall into the same situation we fell for, expecting a beautiful relaxing vacation and getting the complete opposite. Save your money, and stay at home before renting anything from Todd Nation.

Gorgeous house!

The house and area are gorgeous. We had a fantastic stay and no significant issues. We wish there had been some fans and some better supplies in the kitchen (example: we were told there was a blender, but all that was there was a broken food processor), but those were our only issues. The beds were comfy, everything was in working order otherwise, and the deck was absolutely awesome with the hot tub and the view. Cheers!

Lovely place, lovely host

The house is secluded, sweet and quirky, with a gorgeous view. It snowed much of the time we were there, which wasn't exactly the plan (for spring break), but sitting in the hot tub while it snowed on us was juuuust fiiiine. The host was super responsive when we had questions or needed anything, and has included great details in the welcome info re: directions and local food shopping. Would definitely go back!

The house is really cute and in a beautiful area. We enjoyed the hot tub and deck. The kitchen, grills and bathrooms could be a lot cleaner but otherwise we had a great stay and enjoyed our time there.

Exactly what you need for a rustic adventure in the Catskills

I've been here twice now, both times with groups of 5-7 adults. Both visits were great. I wouldn't say that the property is pristine, but it is totally adequate for a good old time in mountain country. Everything worked in the kitchen and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The pool table is a bit run down. The spa worked well and was a nice perk. Great deck with a wonderful view (location is magical). Easy check-in and check-out. Definitely some quirks, but the price is right.

Perfection.

My family and I arrived for the weekend of the 4th and were completely in awe w/ the beauty of the property. The view of the mountain is absolutely stunning and the house is fantastic. Very spacious, very comfortable, and it has all the amenities you would need for a fun getaway. The hot tub was great, the pool table was great, the WiFi was great, the beds were great, everything was great. Todd was a pleasure to deal with as well. He was prompt to respond to all of our inquiries. We had so much fun we opted to rent it another night and Todd was gracious enough to accommodate us. My only regret is that we didn’t rent it for the entire weekend/week to begin with. If he’ll have us back we will definitely rent it again regularly in the future. I genuinely can not recommend it more. It was a wonderful trip.

Perfect for our group

A group of friends and I booked this house for a getaway weekend and had an incredible time. The house is secluded and the property is beautiful. Though we left a couple of times to take hikes, you could easily spend an entire weekend on the property without leaving. We loved the hot tub and really enjoyed seeing the leaves change during the day and stargazing at night. The large table on the back deck was also a very nice touch. There was ample space for our group, and everybody felt comfortable. The kitchen was also big enough to cook for a group of people. I would stay here again with a group of friends and would also recommend this house to others that are looking for a weekend in the woods.

Getaway

With all going on , cov19, the election, and the economy , I’m learning not to sweat the small stuff. So appreciated spending time with family in a very relaxing place. My worse thing was not getting to play monopoly. lol So many games to choose from. My family really enjoy the hot tub. Fire pit and fire place and the changing of the leaves right in front of our eyes. Thanks to the owner, has to be very hard with all different type of people coming and going. Hope to be back, thanks again R&R by all.

The Price is not right

Ok we're to start, first the pics, they are not updated, the main reason I booked this place was for the sunkin hot tub as my wife is in a wheelchair. Well that was not there. As for the place, well they use the word "Rustic" I use neglected there are holes in screens, holes in the blinds, and missing screws holding the deck boards down. The worst was the wasp infestation threw out the front of the A frame on the deck. The ceiling fan in the living room did not work and was covered in dirt. As for the beds, one did not even have a mattress,it was a piece of foam and a eggcrate type of foam on top. The screen door onto the deck was not able to be used because it was just a screen and no door, if left open the wasps would come in, As for the property management, I asked before we went if there would be firewood and was told yes, so when we got there.. about one nights worth. When I asked about this I was told wood will be delivered, well that never happened, I was also told the person delivering the wood can take care of the wasp issue, I was also told I could do it myself if I wanted!!! Well after two daysand still no wood Todd told me I could go pick some up from the guy that never showed up. If I was told there would not be wood I would have brought some from home😖 The Stove only had Three burners working, The gas grill would not light without tossing in matches and hoping. I spent a good amount of time tighten up door handles and hinges. One More MAJOR RED FLAG, not one smoke detector in the house nor any Co2 sectors either, not sure how they got a rental permit. The outside chairs have seen better days, the Kids Swing was filthy. This might have been better if at least one of the issues was properly addressed instead of empty promises, or a go do it yourself response.
