10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is the PERFECT spot for visiting Pitlochry (esp by train) The back of the property is adjacent to the train station. Just get off the train, walk down the paved walkway to the hotel. We were greeted with a free taste of whisky or gin. After getting settled in, when you exit the front door, you are on the main street of shops and eateries. The hotel is historic, has been carefully renovated and maintained. It’s very charming. Staff is helpful and friendly. Nespresso machine and cookies etc in the room, Fan, blow dryer, ironing board, all toiletries, plenty of towels etc in room. There is a restaurant there for breakfast and dinner. Loved our stay!"

"Although other reviews of the property were not great, I am being more generous because our room had very comfortable twin beds with clean, crisp new linens. Our bathroom had been recently renovated and was very nice. The front desk staff, a lovely young lady from Australia, was very pleasant and efficient. The only thing I'd suggest the management do to improve the room, is to fix the broken window blind."

"We found this excellent family run hotel to be the best of all our booked accommodation throughout our NC500 trip. The staff were all friendly, very helpful and attentive. Our room was clean, specious and modern, the fittings looked brand new! A very substantial & tasty breakfast was available in a lovely room with fabulous views. We thoroughly recommend the experience of staying at Westlands if you’re heading for Pitlochry. It’s a 5* hotel at a very reasonable rate."
