「The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. 「Wonderful hosts - Graham and Sheena are extremely focused on making everyone’s stay memorable. The beds are extremely comfy too! Beautifully kept carriage house in a central spot to visit many gems in the area. Was a very relaxing enjoyable stay! 」

「Building is in disarray, with things left all over the place. No one was at the front desk. Towels were not changed and our room was not refreshed for our second night. I planned to use my credit card but was told the machine wasn’t working and I had to pay cash, but wasn’t given a receipt. (I was finally emailed a receipt a day later, after I insisted on one.) I never did received the change from my cash payment. It was all quite strange.」

「We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.」

After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. 「I stayed here for a week and I was happy with what we got for the price we paid. The staff from the lady checking us in to the cleaners we spoke to, were all really nice. The room was comfortable and clean but my only issue ws the shower. It was a little mouldy at the bottom and the pressure wasn't great. It did the job though and I would stay again. Thank you」
