"The outside of the buildings looked a little old, but inside, it was very clean and very comfortable with an impressive amount of helpful appliances for food and temperature/humidity comfort. The shower and bedroom were particularly nice. I would have given this hotel a perfect 5 star rating, but unfortunately the bedroom window (Room #7) faced a separate residential house that had many very loud and annoying dogs that barked every day from 6am to 12pm without stopping. "Hotel is a bit off the beaten tourist track, but worth it for a quiet visit. Great value for money and the host is so kind!! I was traveling solo and felt very welcome and safe. Easy walk to the abyss. By far one of the best dinners and breakfasts I had in Japan!!"
