The location was great with lots of rooms and amenities. The pool deck was a bit run down and there was an absolute hazard of a spiral stair case. The theater room was a nice touch that we utilized for some down time with the kids. Very close to the beach and the views are really good in the crows nest on the roof. Overall a great place and I would stay there again.

The location was perfect. The house had views of the bay and the ocean, just a short walk to the ocean! The house was a little dated but a perfect beach house with a pool and hot tub. The hot tub didn’t remain too hot- but I don’t like it that hot anyway! Great time had by all!

This was a great place for 2 families. Plenty of room in a very quiet neighborhood. Loved the short walk to beach! So thankful that the property owners allow up to 4 dogs. Made an even more joyful stay as no one had to leave their animals at home. We had an issue with the AC on 3rd floor when we arrived and the rental company was very attentive and took care of the issue very quickly. Overall a great time and we will stay again!

Location was great. Views of the ocean. Short walk to beach access but sand dune was difficult walking up. Home has lots of space. Loved the 3 king suites and all the sitting rooms plus the 2 kitchens and outside bar/kitchen area. Pool was awesome with built-in seating. Spiral staircase was hard for people with bad knees so they had to use outside stairs. Everyone loved the theater room!

House needs serious updating. Its an ok house if you dont plan on spending much time in it. Dont plan on using the amenities, hot tub was a warm tub at best, foosball table runs downhill, tv in the living room is connected to a cable to nowhere. Dont open the sliding doors as a bird may fly thru the gaping holes in the screens. For the price, its not a good value, wont use vacasa again.

The location of the house is amazing - short walk to the beach, centrally located within Duck, great views of both east and west. House itself is in need of updating. Furniture and kitchen is a bit worn. Did not understand that access to the third floor was via spiral staircase or outside. Theater room is super fun, especially on rainy days and colder nights.

This home has a great location. You have views of both the ocean and the bay. It was a great option as it is pet friendly and allowed 3 dogs. One downfall was the spiral staircase. Our dogs were scared of it so we had to take them around the outside decks to go outside. The staircase made it challenging to bring stuff upstairs. The beach access is close to the house. One note is they are in the process of doing dune recovery so the dunes were very steep to carry stuff to and from the beach and for older adults.

We love this house and this is the 2nd year we have stayed in it. After the first night though, the downstairs toilets were not flushing. After several hours of phone calls and maintenance men coming through, it was determined the sceptic tank needed to be pumped. This is fine as a homeowner, not fine as a vacation renter. We still used the theater even though the air conditioner wasn’t working. The house is great but needs better maintenance.

To be clear, the house is gorgeous, and the location is perfect. It was well appointed, and we found it very clean. However, the listing advertised a number of amenities that were simply not working. This includes the pool, the hot tub, and the fireplace. I had to spend my time chasing up the property manager during a whole day to get at least the hot tub fixed. They said they did, we were never able to use it for the rest of our vacation. It stayed cold, It was super disappointing. Clearly, the house was not ready to rent for the season and unfortunately, we were the loser who rented first this year. Equally disappointing was the response from the property managers, essentially: Too bad, so sad, hope you had a good time. I am writing this review because I think the owner needs to know how their property is being managed, and to urge future renters to be very careful with VACASA, check everything in the first 5 minutes you get there, and prepare to spend a lot of time in the phone….

Overall, we had a really nice stay. The house was big enough for our friends and family and had all the necessary things to be productive. The proximity to the beach is great, as were the views from the house, and the central location between Corolla and Kitty Hawk was a huge plus. The pool area is great, being a fine size for a day of enjoyment. Any previous comments stating that the house is "dated" obviously didn't grow up in the 80's/90's The house is a unique throwback, and we kinda dig it! We had a great time! Thank you for your hospitality!!
