“This place is absolutely magical! The property is enchanting, the hostess fascinating and the breakfast out of this world! The shepherd’s huts are so charming, I guess you could call it “glamping”? The one thing I would say is that my knees aren’t great and I found the steps to the huts a little tricky, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, but other than that it’s a 10 out of 10! I wish I could have stayed longer.”

“The Step House hotel was one of our favorite stays on our Ireland trip! We had a beautiful and spacious room that opened onto a terrace overlooking the gardens and mountains in the distance. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast in the 1808 Pub. The staff was wonderful and the extra touches like flowers and prosecco in the room made this the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and start off our trip! We enjoyed the small town of Borris and walking the Railway trail. We hope to……

“The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The Pub was full of great people and Matt was super friendly.”

“Nice facilities, didn't care for the bunk bed in the room, not very comfortable and a bit claustrophobic.”

“Although we had a coffee machine and kettle in the room, there was also a fully equiped (shared) kitchen available for us to use. The breakfast was fantastic.”

“Great location. Very clean and safe hotel. Very friendly owner!”

“這是一個非常棒的飯店，地理位置也很好飯店也非常好，早餐也很好房間很乾淨完美的一切”

“Bedroom was a really good size. Good storage space with a safe and fridge. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower. Really good choice of Gluten Free food available both for breakfast and evening meals.”

“Overall experience was nice that the surroundings and leisure club are pretty good. The thing we didn't expect is that there are some stairs going down to the room that we need to carry the luggage ourselves, which is not notified when booking. Also the air smells moldy in the corridor downstairs. But the room itself is tidy and clean.”

“Wunderschönes, traditionelles Hotel im Herzen von Kilkenny. Wir haben es sehr gemocht. Das Bett war unglaublich gemütlich.”

“Good location. Excellent service. Great breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.”

“Overall, a very nice hotel with clean rooms , friendly staff and it’s about a 15 minute walk to the center of town . The town was very busy with car traffic , so I’d suggest parking at the hotel to make it very stress free .”

“Only thing the restaurant closer at 8pm.”

“The standard room was dark small and uncomfortable had 1 full bed and a twin it’s a a family room I don’t understand why we were assigned that room we are a couple luckily we don’t spend time in the room. Also the pictures on Expedia did not show that the standard room had this format. We complained but were told that is how all the standard rooms are. Pool area isn’t very nice small pool and there wasn’t a hot tub”

“We loved everything about Seven Oaks - parking was plentiful, room was very clean and large, restaurant was convenient and delicious - but the standout feature was the helpfulness of the staff. Aisling and Declan welcomed us in and made us immediately comfortable. Hospitality is taken seriously and we were very appreciative.”
