「Paul is a really friendly and very helpful host. Our 2 night stay, was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed. We had privacy and peace throughout. The Annex is clean, well maintained, practical and also spacious. Unwinding here was simple and if that is what you are looking for, you cannot go wrong by staying here. Me and my partner are already planning on returning.」

「The house could be lovely. It was the perfect size for our family and within walking distance of chester. However it was not clean at all. Bedding was ok but the kitchen was grim. The washing up liquid had run out and the kitchen light was not working, i contacyed the host who was quick to respond and happily fixed the light and supplied the washing liquid. But we had to wash all glasses, crockery, cutlery and utensils as they either had food, dust or grim on them. Some cleaning had taken place...

「Absolute disgrace. Host cancelled our reservation an hour before we were to check in. If i could give negative stars I would.」

「2 bed house in quiet street. Had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. House was clean and basically furnished. Everything worked as it should. Nice bathroom with shower. Driveway if required. Close to town centre (£5 in taxi). Can’t comment as to local amenities or public transport as we never used them. Contact with owner was easy and we had no issues. 」

「Wonderful property to relax and have an amazing experience. Very clean and equipped with everything needed to have a great time, even with two kids. We felt at home and will most likely return. 」

「The property was in a great spot for the visit to Anfield Stadium. Lovely & clean with comfy beds I raised a couple of issues with the owner on return - but they hasn’t affected our stay at all Would I stay again? Yes definitely Would I use VRBO? No the web site / messaging service is not great. Clunky and slow」

"I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times before, but unfortunately this visit was by far the worst. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working, and this was never mentioned at check-in. I only discovered it after entering the room. To make matters worse, the room phone was also broken, so I had to walk back to reception to report it. Only then was I told that some of the hotel rooms had been without air conditioning for a while. Instead of offering a solution straightaway, the receptionist asked how many children I had. When I replied “just one”, I was simply told there were no available rooms with working air conditioning. It left me with the impression that if I’d had more children, I might have been given priority, which felt rather unfair. Finally I was only given an extra fan. That night was extremely hot, and both adults and children in the room struggled to sleep properly. The hotel really should handle this situation better. At the very least, guests should be notified by email or phone in advance. If I had known even a day earlier, I would have cancelled the booking and stayed elsewhere."
