We stayed in villa #10 at Zara Beach Resort. It was spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located next to Lamai Beach. The reception was also helpful, and we enjoyed the option to have healthy food from Meal Prep, which is an on-site vendor operating in the communal pool area. The resort was also located close to the Lamai Night Market, Moon Market, and Lamai Fresh Food Market. The wooden platform between our villa's doors and our own pool needed repair, as some of the wooden planks would move a lot when we stepped on them. That is our only suggestion for Zara Beach, to better maintain the outdoor amenities of villa #10. Overall, we are so glad we stayed at Zara Beach. We even ordered something that isn't avaliable to ship to our home country from Bangkok to our resort, and the receptionist was helpful in making sure we got the package.

On the beach, you can see the ocean from your window where we stayed. Nice private "pool" (more of a tank, but still very nice). A bit noisy at the early evening hours, but quiet after that. Perfect for relaxing. Many restaurants and coffee shops around.

Long nights with jamminz

Good location, right at the start of the beach. Very good restaurant called nana tam 5 min walk. 7eleven up the road. Lamai night market with loads of food options and a very good bar at the bottom with a very entertaining live band every night. Swimming pool was nice, bar was expensive for drinks and food. The shared jacuzzi and tv in the room did not work but as we did not use them we just let the receptionist know on the way out. The beach that looks connected to the resort looked like a rubbish dump but that could have been due to the heavy rains before we arrived. Overall a nice place to stay.

This place was only okay. There were windows in the bathroom, lavatory, and shower that were low set with no ability to cover them and a clear view from the outside in. The area was under construction which was not disclosed prior to arriving. The private pool was not filtering so it was just standing water (it looked like some of the other guests’ pools worked, though). We were roomed in an adjoining suite that we did not have access to or key for and found out on the second day that it had been left completely unlocked by the staff (we could not lock it ourselves because it was a deadbolt). The area around the hotel did not match the pictures in the listing. The staff was nice which was their best quality. Overall it’s not the worst but definitely not what we were expecting.

Staff were incredibly helpful and always cheerful. Especially Bryan. Villa we had was perfect, garden view and secluded. Bar food was always good, drinks not overpriced, pool never overcrowded. Will be rebooking for next year.

Loves – the location, the private pool on our deck, the bed, room size, most of the staff, the lushness of the property. Misses – the cleanliness (stains all over the "couch" cushions, which was just patio furniture), the piles of sand or eggs we kept finding every day in our room, the misinformation from staff about breakfast, the condition.

Do not stay here!!!! Go on google and look at all guests photos EVERY SINGLE ONE is what I arrived to and sadly all other guests too! It’s Dirty and unkept! Do not waste your money! this was suppose to be my honeymoon and I haven’t been refunded and the hotel won’t do anything.. I’ve had to pay for another villa just to get out of there .. after everything we faced No apology from staff… they wasn’t even slightly embarrassed at the condition of this place..: this is what we was expected to stay in!!!! ▪️urine round the toilet from previous guest ▪️ unwashed cups as lipstick was still on cups from the previous guest ▪️dirty floors unwashed unclean again stains from previous guest, sand all over the floor.. ▪️dirty bedsheets ▪️leaking fridge ▪️unfiltered swimming pool .. YUK! ▪️no privacy or security of the room as the doors don’t lock ▪️dirty sofas full of stains so bad we didn’t want to even sit on them ▪️dirty mirrors and windows on doors … thick with dust and smears that you could barely see through them! ▪️unkept and not clean decking area ▪️dangerous amenities had to boil kettle on the floor that leaked dangerous boiling water ▪️room right next to bar with no seclusion not private at all which isn’t stated!! Die Hotelanlage befindet sich fußläufig 2 Minuten direkt am Strand. In der näheren Umgebung stehen Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirme für eine Tagesgebühr von 150 Bath ausreichend zur Verfügung. Die große Villa die wir für 11 Nächte gebucht haben entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Top ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Der zur Villa gehörige kleine Pool wurde 3 mal täglich. gereinigt. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Personal, einschließlich der Chefin die täglich vor Ort war, spricht perfekt englisch und war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man kann behaupten uns wurde jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Das nicht zum Hotel gehörende Frühstücksrestaurant bietet 6 verschiedene Menüs an. Diese kann man mit Coupons, die man bei der Anreise erhält, bezahlen. Auf unsere Wunsch hin, das wir etwas Obst zum Frühstück fehle, reagierte die Hotelleitung unverzüglich und stellte uns täglich einen kleinen Obstteller zur Verfügung. Vielen Dank dafür noch einmal dafür. Alles im Allem würde ich sagen, dass wir das Hotel gern erneut besuchen werden.

Vi fick byta rum 2 gånger, första natten blev vi ”uppgraderade” för att vårt rum inte var ledigt, bilder ledde till att vi inte kunde göra oss hemmastadda eller packa upp något eftersom vi var tvungna att flytta dagen efter. 2 nätter senare i vårt rum som hade en AC som knappt fungerade, vilket de inte kunde fixa, fick vi packa ihop våra grejer och byta rum IGEN… Det blev mycket onödig stress och obekvämlighet. Hade vi bara fått ett bra fungerande samma rum under hela veckan hade det varit betydligt bättre.
