“Cool historic hotel, located across from the train station. Very walkable to restaurants and shops, easy parking options. The rooms are old but tasteful, and could probably use some updates. The main lobby and outdoor courtyard was beautiful and historically decorated. Their restaurant and bar, a centerpiece of the property, was closed for renovations. Too bad.”

“Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, able to help with limited dining suggestions for a Sunday night when most options were closed. We appreciated having housekeeping take care of the basics each day--a rarity these days for multiple nights stays. Good breakfast options, especially for travelers visiting Big Bend National Park.”

“We had an amazing time staying at Dark Sky Tipi. The view of the sunrise, sunset, and night sky was fabulous. The bathroom room and kitchen were wonderful as advertised. Everything with the tipi was fun as expected, but remember this is tent camping! My family and I felt very safe on the property, and truly enjoyed hearing the coyotes singing at night. We had a minor issue with heater, but Chris was quick to remediate. Along with the beautiful breathtaking sights and explorations in Big Bend……

“This tiny home was exactly what we were looking for while we stayed the night in Alpine. Everything was as expected and even better. Communication with Kimberly was great. The only thing I’d say is that the outside tables are a bit small for tall people and they were a bit loose but overall still a great little outdoor area and we took advantage of the fire pit which was great too! The water heater for the shower is a bit tricky as well so maybe some instructions on that and the AC would be……

“The yurt and amenities in it were perfect. Communication with the manager was easy and pleasant. The door had some issue with the lock and the neighborhood dogs like to bark a lot but that can’t be fixed. We would recommend this place to stay”

“This place was just adorable but not only that, it was so much more than I expected. So spacious and clean, cute welcome note upon arrival, great communication from host and was stocked with anything you might need or forgotten. Not to mention the views are beyond beautiful; highly recommend.”
