Welcome to this newly built villa within Joiku Resort, where clean design meets the quiet beauty of Lapland. Finished in October 2024, the villa has high ceilings, glass walls, and a cosy interior with quality appliances. The terrace features an outdoor firepit for relaxed evenings under the stars. Situated next to the Ylläs swing and Äkäslompolo lake—a favourite for Northern Lights watchers—and with ski tracks nearby, this villa offers a comfortable, well-located base close to village amenities

This villa, thoughtfully designed and crafted, combines high-quality materials like dark wood and granite-inspired ceramics, bringing warmth and elegance to every corner. With an open layout, it’s created for gathering, relaxation, and enjoying the scenic beauty of Lapland in comfort and style.


Living & Kitchen Area

The ground floor offers an open kitchen and living space with high ceilings and large windows, letting in plenty of natural light. The kitchen includes ample storage, integrated appliances, a premium induction hob, and a hidden breakfast cupboard. A highlight is the fully automatic coffee machine, which brews 16 different coffee drinks, from espresso to cold coffee milk drinks. The terrace, which spans the villa`s full width, is perfect for unwinding after a sauna session, complete with a smokeless Solo stove fire pit for grilling.

Additionally, the ground floor includes the bath and sauna facilities, with direct access to the terrace for cooling off or to the lake for a refreshing plunge.


Amenities for Active Guests

For winter guests, a drying cabinet is available—a must-have for drying ski gear. During summer, a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) is available for lake adventures. Guests can also rent a fatbike (Cube Nutrail Pro 17`, size M) for €50 per stay to explore nearby trails.


Sleeping Arrangements - 3 Bedrooms

This villa is designed for flexibility, with all beds convertible to accommodate various group sizes. All beds come with thick mattress toppers for added comfort.


Master Bedroom: Two single beds (90 cm each) or one super king-size bed (180 cm)
Bedroom 2: Two single beds (80 cm each) or one king-size bed (160 cm)
Bedroom 3: Two single beds (80 cm each) or one king-size bed (160 cm)
In the living room, a sofa bed provides three additional sleeping spaces (80 cm each).
The layout can be adjusted, allowing for single or double bed setups, and each bed comes with a mattress topper, stored in the storage room, for added comfort.


Eco-Friendly Design

Built with sustainability in mind, the villa is equipped with a water-air heat pump and solar panels, ensuring an environmentally friendly and comfortable stay.


Location

Located in the peaceful village of Äkäslompolo near Yllästunturi Ski Resort, the villa has excellent transport connections, with bus services from both Kittilä Airport and Kolari train station. It’s the perfect base for exploring Lapland’s breathtaking landscapes.


Private Beach Sauna Experience

From January-February 2025, guests can reserve a private beach sauna on the lakefront. This setup includes a Drop Design jacuzzi on the terrace, right by the water’s edge, where you can alternate between the sauna’s warmth, a cold lake dip, or a soothing soak in the jacuzzi—ideal for embracing Lapland’s unique winter atmosphere.


Important Note

Please be aware that the resort is currently finalising extension works next door. While there won’t be any heavy or loud construction noise, there is a chance of some daytime noise during working hours. We aim to keep any disturbance minimal, ensuring you can still enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The villa is exclusively yours, without interruption during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Other than the already mentioned amenities, our home is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, and a washing machine

For hiking and biking enthusiasts, trails from the Ylläs-Pallas National Park begin on the eastern side of the lake.
