Kauai vacation
My family of 5 adults had a great time during our visit to Kauai. The condo was in a great location to shops and beaches and was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Would recommend for any party of 5-6 people.

Great Location
I shared with the manager that the information that the property is located on the second floor and requires two flights of stairs to enter the unit was missing from the description. Everything else was as described. Great family vacation location.

Loved the sea turtles!

A great getaway
The condo was well appointed and had lots of nice touches. My family was impressed with the space and proximity to the beach. A wonderful place! Go get a Puka Dog while you are here.

Fantastic Vacation Rental in Poipu - Highly Recommended!

Excellent Stay at Hale Maluhia Maikai
This property was excellent! It is well maintained, very clean, spacious and a great layout for families and groups. The location is excellent, It is nearby several restaurants, shops, beaches and it was also easy to access the airport and other parts of the island. The check in/check out process was smooth, we had a couple questions during our stay and was able to immediately get in touch with someone to help us out:) I would highly recommend!!

Holiday vacation

Perfect Spot!
The condo feels like a home away from home. The location is a very pleasant walk to Brennekes beach along the greenbelt of properties or down the hill through the neighborhood. The walk to Shipwreks is a little longer but just as easy along a path toward the Hyatt. It wasn't needed for the distance, but having a beach cruiser would have made it even more adventurous for our teenagers. The house has everything you need from bath products to kitchen supplies. Just add groceries and fresh coffee and you are golden. It was a rainy week which increased humidity outside but a perfect temperature in the condo. Parking was not an issue. I would definitely recommend this condo!

This was just an incredible vacation for my family and me
The location was just as indicated in the listing and all that I had hoped for. Close proximity to the ocean, pool and spa. I have been to Kauai several times and this condo met all of my wishes and expectations. The furnishings were wonderful and very comfortable and I am looking forward to next year. Family getaway to Poipu Paradise
Quiet, clean and all amenities were just as described. Plenty of space for 4 adults to spread out. Spent each night at the large dining table playing card games and dominos. Excellent location to the beach. A bit of a walk when lugging all the beach accessories. A wagon would have been great to have. Pool was a good distance away from the condo, but we did enjoy it. Great restaurant/bar within walking distance so we took advantage of their happy hour several times. Fun food trucks around for a variety of meals. We loved Kauai and look forward to exploring again - would stay here again without hesitation.

Perfect family location and set up
We absolutely loved our stay here! Walking distance even for young kids to three different beaches and the pool. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed. The house was spotless and the beds were super comfy. Gorgeous sunsets! Turtles on the beach! What more could you ask for?

Lovely upgraded condo, but cramped deck space.
Poipu Kai is a lovely resort - beautiful grounds, easy walk to Poipu beach. The condo itself was well decorated with a great floor plan for our family of 6. The new appliances, big beach towels and beach chairs, boogie boards, etc were especially appreciated. The on-line pictures accurately represent how nice the unit is INSIDE. The drawback to this lovely unit is that there is almost no outside space for dining or relaxing. The deck off the living room is narrow and cramped, ok for enjoying coffee and a pastry, but not large enough for a family meal outside — which was very disappointing. There is also no deck space to lounge in the sun, and both decks overlook parking areas, so there’s no privacy. This aspect put a damper on what was otherwise a great condo experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Condo was as pictured. We often cooked and the kitchen was fully complete with dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Short walk to the beach and pool. only negatives were the parking lot was tight to maneuver and more forks could be added to the silverware drawer.

Paradise in Paradise
This condo is exactly how it was listed. We had our family stay for 2 weeks in September 2022 and there was enough room for us all. We’re frequent visitors to The Garden Island and it was our first time staying at this condo. We love the area and found a little slice of paradise and comfort in this unit. Great house
This house worked perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary items. The a/c works well but the owner has the thermostat programed to not go below 72. The house was clean and comfortable. . I would definitely recommend staying here

Family Trip
A wonderful vacation and the house was very comfortable. It’s a further walk to the beaches than other reviewers have stated but if you aren’t lugging chairs, coolers, etc it wasn’t terrible. I would suggest having a wagon to help families get everything to the beach. The island is so beautiful.

Beautiful condo in Poipu
This is the first VRBO property I’ve stayed at that looks exactly like the photos in the ad. The place is beautiful and immaculate. It was very comfortable with the central air conditioning in all rooms of the condo. The kitchen is very well-stocked and you will be able to cook anything you want and enjoy your dinner out on the lanai. The living room has a wonderful TV system as well as a good stash of games and books to read while you’re there. The towels and linens are all new and fresh. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a good amount of soaps and cleaning products that I was able to use to keep the place neat. The walk to the beach is very comfortable, downhill and takes about six or seven minutes. The beach always has some thing fun going on like seals or turtles to watch. There is a cute restaurant just across the street from the beach. You can also walk down the sidewalk in the other direction and enjoy dinner at the grand Hyatt. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone and would be willing to return for a future vacation.

Perfect Place in Poipu!
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this well kept condo. We were so thankful for the AC and wouldn’t consider a unit that didn’t have it. Jeremy was a great property manager and quick to respond when we had a question. I enjoyed everything about the layout of this condo and the location was great. Just a quick walk down the path to the beach. The master bath is great with a nice jacuzzi tub and a huge walk in shower. Plenty of closet space throughout. Plenty of natural light, comfortable couch, perfect dining area, large capacity washer and dryer, plenty of dishes and other kitchen items that made meal prep a snap. I did a lot of research looking for the right property for our family and so happy we decided on this one. It did not disappoint! No need to research again on our next trip to Kauai, we’ll book this property again! Thank you to the owners and the management company for our home away from home! We loved it.

Great Location, Spacious, Could Be Better
This condo is very spacious and clean, with an excellent location just off the greenbelt. We loved drinking coffee on the lanai and listening to the birds in the mornings, and playing cards at the dining table in the evenings. We encountered some maintenance issues which were promptly addressed by management (Jeremy is great). I’m not giving the unit 5 stars because it is not stocked as well as most others we have rented over the last 20 years - minimal beach gear and missing basic items in the kitchen (measuring spoons, platters, etc). The guide book was also from 2004. While I know everything is on line, an upgrade to the current edition - and investment in some basic gear - would elevate the guest experience.

Wonderful condo in a good location
Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed our weeklong stay on this wonderful property. The space was quiet, clean and updated inside with comfortable beds and furniture and a quick 5 minute walk to two great beaches, one with surf and one for good snorkeling or bringing young children. There are many restaurants and conveniences a short distance away as well as walkable restaurants. We hope to be back soon!

Christmas in Poipu
Nice property, with great access to both Shipwreck (most spectacular sunrises anywhere on the planet) to Poipu (good snorkeling, even for keiki). Perfect unwinding and Christmas place for family of 5 including 3 kids ages 10-22. If you’re there for Christmas - you have to go to Christmas Eve services at St. Theresa’s in Kekaha. Beautiful little church on the beach with the friendliest parishioners, and a sunset thrown in for full measure.

Great place!
Very nice condo--well furnished and supplied, very comfortable and quiet. We did ask for the twin beds to be made into a King and that didn't get done, so that was disappointing. Lots of useful information about the area in the condo. Overall, a great stay!

Avoid this Property
Air conditioner was controlled by locked software device, so we were unable to lower the temperature lower than 77 degrees at times. Upstairs especially was very hot for sleeping. After complaining, owner unlocked thermostat only to have it become locked again next day, repeatedly. Thus, half of the days there it was hot for sleeping at night. Unbelievable for a place that advertises AC. Owner blamed it on the software; LAME! Also: dishes in cabinets were dirty on arrival. Kitchen supplies thoughtless. No sugar, pepper. Stale oil in cabinet. Stale "welcome" cookies on counter tasted rancid. Mattresses hard as a rock; I slept on the couch. Place smacks of inconsideration and exploitation of the location near the beach, and I would not stay in Poipu Kai "resort" again.

Though we value your feedback very much, I would like to share with others that we immediately adjusted the thermostat upon your bringing this to our attention. The kitchen is stocked with all essential kitchen items including basic spices such as salt and pepper, so we are unsure what you mean by "thoughtless" in your review. Apologies again if you did not find your stay here enjoyable but we do generally receive a lot of positive feedback for this condo, and had you made us aware of your concerns during your stay we would have gladly assisted you. Cleanliness and guest service are of top priority for us and we appreciated you allowing us to host you!

The hot water tanks ran out of hot water on 3 separate days despite very limited use by our family. The air conditioning thermostat was locked and could not be adjusted by us. As a result, the upstairs loft bedroom was too hot and uncomfortable.

Beautiful Property
Everything was as shown in pictures. Perfect place to stay for my son's wedding on Shipwreck Beach. Within walking distance to pool and 2 beaches. Conveniently located in Poipu, near shops and restaurants. Only downfall was a cold shower. Called Jeremy and he got back with us right away and told us to push reset buttons on hot wAter heaters. No problems after that.

Clean and spacious condo near the beaches
This was a great place for my family and I to stay on the south end of Kauai. Everything was in good condition and worked well with minor exceptions. The air conditioning had no instructions and seemed to run a lot more than needed at night.

A Perfect Spot!
This was the perfect condo for our week in Kauai. We loved the layout, decor and overall location. In the mornings we would run or walk around the neighborhood and watch the sunrise and then spend the day down at Poipu Beach until sunset. Everything we needed was either a short walk or drive away. The condo is well appointed and we felt like we were on a luxurious vacation the entire time.

Perfect stay in Kauai
We had a fantastic time in Kauai staying at this condo. The layout was perfect for our family and the location was excellent. The chairs and bogey boards were great and the convenience of home made ordering a pizza for dinner easy. We loved the easy walks to both Shipwreck and Brennecke’s beaches - they were about 8-10 minutes to each beach. We had easy drives to the canyon and Lihue and a great time.

Wonderful stay in beautiful Kauai
A group of 5 adults and 1 child stayed at this condo for our friend-cation and it was absolutely perfect! Rooms are clean, nicely decorated and beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you may need, and the lanai has beach items that you can use during your stay. Close proximity to 2 great beaches and the pool onsite is also nice for the moments you don’t want to be in the ocean. Quick responses from the owner with booking questions. I would absolutely stay here again in the future.

A first-class property & an outstanding experience!
This turned out to be the perfect spot for our family's week in Kauai - well back from the main highway & a short 5-10 min. walk to Poipu beach, tennis, & swimming pools. Unit was exceedingly clean & well-equipped with modern appliances, wi-fi, HE washer/ dryer, etc. The available beach chairs, umbrella, & boogie boards were also much appreciated. The owner/ manager have clearly paid attention to all of the small details that add up to making this such a great home away from home - well done!

Great condo
The condo is beautiful and modern. Sub zero fridge and each bathroom and bedroom is updated and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and pillows were good. Location to beach is a bit of a walk and the bugs were out in full force and rained every day so didn’t go to beach much. Did go to athletic club and use the pool. Would definitely stay here again

Great Getaway
Beautiful, clean and comfy condo that connects to a nice walking path that leads to two different beaches. The condo is clean and nicely maintained inside and out. The grounds and the walking paths are beautifully landscaped. My parents, my two children, and my husband and I enjoyed our stay here! I especially enjoyed having towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling equipment to use for a fun beach day. I also enjoyed having a nicely furnished kitchen so we could easily make our own meals. This condo does not disappoint!

Great place in Poipu, Kauai
Very nice home. Well maintained. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that the listing mentioned a community pool. Yes the pool is undergoing repairs right now, but that wasn’t the issue. We found the pool to be quite a distance from the house in the overall large community of Poipu Kai - not near the property. I felt the listing was misleading. Nonetheless it’s a great property, nicely located near two great Poipu beaches with beautiful landscaping and surroundings in the area.

Aloha, we're glad you enjoyed your stay on property and hope you used the Poipu Beach club facility we are providing to our guest during the down time of pool. The Poipu Kai pool is a five minute walk from this unit. With beautiful grounds and walking paths along the way, I have not had anyone feel it was too lengthy of a walk but I will keep in mind if a guest inquires about distance. Mahalo

Spacious and Clean!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and spacious condo. The decoration really is beautifully done and the unit thoughtfully laid out. There was everything we needed and more. The owners are generous with paper products and supplies like laundry detergent, as well as a nicely stocked kitchen. The beds were all comfortable with high quality linens. The location is fantastic, we walked to Shipwreck Beach multiple times, the Hyatt Resort for a luau and also walked to Poipu Beach. Many, many amazing restaurants and food options were just a few minutes drive away. It’s the perfect home base for day trips to Waimea Canyon or anywhere on the east side of the island. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Awesome!
Jeremey and Yvonne went out of their way to make sure our experience was wonderful. We had plenty of space for the 5 of us and it’s a perfect location. The welcome chocolates and coffee were delicious! Miss the island already. I am sure we will be back!
