I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies at the front desk and the entire staff at Hotel Maximilian for being so kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, and breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options each morning. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay at Hotel Maximilian again.

A room just like the photo - pure elegance

Overall an excellent place to stay to which I would love to return - and not just once. On booking I requested the room which was shown in a photo and this was the one I got - unlike many other places I have stayed, here the room was almost better in real life than in the photo. Given the timing of the visit (January) this was really important because we spent a fair amount of time in the room when it was pouring with rain and 3 degrees. The bed was comfortable, the couch was also lovely and the chairs were simply elegant. My partner - for whom hygiene is a big thing - did notice a small dirt mark on the blanket but it wasn't something about which I would complain. We arrived at 12:30pm and were given the room immediately which was positive - indeed the staff were always willing to help where possible. The bar and lobby of the hotel are like in the photos - simply elegant. The indoor pool is of a decent size without being too big but the jacuzzi/spa is perhaps a little small - wouldn't fit more than about 5 people and they would not want to have issues about personal space. There were also only 4 places to lie down next to the pool which, when the hotel is not as empty, may not be ideal. You can book the sauna for an hour for yourself which works wonderfully well for couples - there are 2 beds, a shower and the sauna. Breakfast was included and was a of a very good standard without being excellent - though perhaps that's also down to the hotel not being all that full.

Meget dårlig oplevelse

Meget dårlig seng, ekstremt meget larm fra måger. Bevares, et værelse under taget…..men måske man skal overveje at gøre noget ved problemet. Bruser var mildest talt elendig. Skiftende temperaturer i vandet gjorde det nærmest umuligt at tage et fornuftigt bad.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Es ist nicht weit zum Strand und in die Innenstadt. Das Hotel ist etwas kleiner und abgesehen von zwei Damen im Frühstücksraum ist das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind völlig in Ordnung und sehr sauber. Es gibt eine Minibar, einen Fernseher mit deutschen Programmen und Pflegeprodukte von Ritual. Die Matratze ist zu weich und das Bad im Einzelzimmer sehr klein. Es gibt ein kleines Schwimmbecken, welches zu klein zum Schwimmen ist und einen Whirlpool. Das Wasser ist sehr chloriert. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Es gibt jeden Tag wechselnde warme Speisen und geräucherten Fisch. Die Kaffeemaschine ist eine Katastrophe. Sie braucht lange und geht immer mal wieder nicht. Die Damen im Wellnessbereich sind sehr nett und die Behandlungen sind wirklich gut.

Vorweg, die Matratzen waren super! Die Buchung der Sauna war für eine Stunde nur für sich möglich! Super!!! Das Empfangspersonal war sehr freundlich und Kundenorientiert! So, nun zum Frühstück: Laute Musik, dass einem schon früh am Morgen vor lauter Stress der Löffel aus der Hand fällt, fragt man dann höflich nach, ob es möglich ist, die Musik leiser zu machen, Pustekuchen. Nix da! Es bleibt LAUT! Dazu dröhne aus den Boxen Rock oder andere Chartmusik. Ich hätte mir ruhige Musik gewünscht. Naja. Nur ein Kaffeeautomat, an dem ALLE die frühstücken wollen, anstehen müssen... Ohne Worte, dass könnte man auch mit einer kleinen Kaffeekanne pro Tisch besser lösen. Die Servicekräfte hatten anscheinend keine Lust zu Arbeiten, jedenfalls waren sie laut, haben das Besteck laut einsortiert und sich keine Mühe gegeben, auf Gäste Rücksicht zu nehmen, die frisch aufgestanden und noch etwas müde sind, bzw dort zur Erholung waren. Und dazu, zu allem Übel, ungezogene, laute und hungrige Rentner, die einem am liebsten das Essen vom Teller gefuttert hätten... Schade, leider konnten wir nicht richtig entspannen.
