"Family friendly, roomy and clean. Pool is right outside the back door, fast and easy to get to. The portable AC in the bedroom was plus for us. Host responds right away if there’s any questions. Discounts on golf ), my fave. Would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends."

"We had a fantastic vacation and the entire family still reminisces often about the wonderful time we enjoyed there together! Everyone had their own comfortable space to retreat to and nobody felt crowded. All the bedrooms and private bathrooms were much appreciated.The four grand-daughters were in paradise in their bunk room. The secret room surprise was a delight.The group areas were spacious for the 13 of us: kitchen functioned quite well with multiple cooks, the pool was awesome and enjoyed continuously, the sand volleyball was fun, the tv and rec-rom space were a great bonus, and much more!Most days we all stayed at the home and didn’t feel the need or want to leave! (However we did do some exploring, hiking, went for scenic drives, trips to beach, whale-watching, coffee farm etc) A few negatives (mice running around inside; hard and uncomfortable dining chairs; a bath-tub drain that wasn’t working/wouldnt hold water; torn curtains on one outdoor shower, looked quite ratty blowing in the wind and visible from the front, etc) were unexpected for a property in this price range, however they were mostly dealt with or at least helpful attempts made to remedy, by owner and/or manager, Thank you Andy, and Alyssa!! Nothing really spoiled the vacation these were just unexpected in this size investment.We still hold and cherish so many memorable and positive moments from this very special family trip! Everyone loved our time there, thank you, thank you again!!"

"The location is peaceful and serene in the cloud forest coffee belt, but also still very close and accessible to Kona and many locations. The rental is very clean and stocked with what you need, including lots of beach gear and a cooler. The laundry does come with a fee, however the price is extremely reasonable for a complete laundry service and host is very prompt in communication and completion of your laundry. This is a simple, affordable and family-friendly place that supports a local family."

"Nice unit with a nice comfortable home atmosphere. Kitchen especially well equipped. Enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners on the lanai with beautiful setting.Only issue was that parking was only for one vehicle, not two as had been communicated. So any guests have to park on the street and walk in. Apparently this was a recent change at the Waikoloa Villas Complex.Will likely return as this worked well for us and was just minutes from family living in Waikoloa."

"Ruth and Buddy were very accommodating. The house had everything we needed away from home. And Ruth was always available if we need anything. Location was great. Not too far from town but away enough to hear all the night time critters. The frogs are very loud at night, but we enjoyed them."

"We loved our stay at Sunset House. There were four of us staying there and, upon arrival, one of our friends said, “this is the nicest rental house I’ve ever stayed in.” We loved having drinks outside and watching the sunset, of course, and the feral kitty, who we affectionately nicknamed Bugsy, was the best. We had an amazing time and I can’t recommend it enough!!! We hope to be back. "
