“My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the Essence Suites were. The staff were there to greet us upon arrival and we were treated to a fresh lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries. We were giving your advice and maps for Kefalonia before being shown to our immaculate room. Our breakfast out by the pool each morning was fresh and delicious. We cannot wait to stay here again in the future!”

“This was a perfect stay. The property is pristine and the staff beyond accomodating. They organised cars, taxi, restaurants and with great humour and a calm that was beguiling. The room and all of the hotel were spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. We could want for no more. The breakfast was fantastic and all home made by a member of staffs mum. “We booked a week here to visit our daughter who was working in Kefalonia and, for us the location was perfect. Just outside of the gentle, family friendly town of Lixouri on the Paliki peninsula. The apartment was right on the beach, facing Argostoli and the rest of the island. The view from the living room, and two of the bedrooms was stunning. You could easily sit there all day watching the mountains change colour and form. Our host, Kostas, was incredible. Always available, and only too……

“We had one night here in preparation for a boa excursion on the following day. The room was ok but no tea or coffee provided despite there being a kettle and mugs. No water in fridge. The balcony was very small and the breakfast was disappointing with the lack of fresh fruit. Nice surroundings and reception were particularly helpful.”

“The room was cleaned every day, in fact the hold complex was spotless. Both Stelios and Anastasia were very approachable and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The area was really quiet allowing us to relax with no worries. Only 500 metres to Melissani lake/cave also a bonus. Coastal path into Sami took around 25-30 mins at a leisurely pace. There were 3 restaurants nearby in Karavomylos but plenty in Sami. There is a mini-market on the square for essentials but best go into……

“Fabulous hotel which definitely feels more like 4/5 star than a 3! Friendly and exceptionally helpful staff, especially Eleni on reception. An easy 15 minute walk downhill into beautiful Fiscardo but the hotel also operates a regular shuttle bus to take you down or bring you back . Many of the guests return year after year which is always a good sign. Beautiful views, great breakfast and lovely bedrooms. The pool area is great and sun loungers were always available. Couldn’t fault a thing, we……

And I would have liked to see more Greek options for breakfast instead of all the English options. The rooms were cleaned very well. ”
