The location is perfect walking distance and in a central location to many of the public onsens and shops. Highly recommend!!"

"Second stay at this ryokan after a perfect stay last year. Location is perfect - on the willow-lined river street close to onsens. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Public and private onsen on site, excellent dinner served at the restaurant. Air conditioning wasn’t cooling the room completely, but staff were accommodating with extra fans. "The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It...

"Excellent hotel with friendly staff who were very accommodating to tourists who didnt speak Japanese! We were a little disappointed in the food but if you enjoy traditional Japanese ryokan cuisine, you'll probably appreciate the meals. We personally preferred the more modern Japanese food we had elsewhere on our trip."
