“Stayed 10 days with 5 adults & 2 small children under five. The hosts were friendly, helpful & easily reachable. Family home atmosphere -big enough to escape the crowd & cozy enough for family entertainment. Outdoor activities - canoeing, kayaking, building sandcastles, swing set, sauna, Indoor games galore for rainy days. Mosquitoes & some poison ivy were noted but the same was noted at a nearby must-see : Bonnechere Caves. Cottage was very clean. Full kitchen & lots of cupboard space. We all……

“Kevin and Laurie have been wonderful hosts. The cottage was spotless, with a lot of new modern touches. Sunsets are amazing, and we were lucky to be there post-season, so not sure how busy the beach gets during the summer. Water was very shallow. Great and safe for families with small children, but if you expecting to jump into the water this is not your location (at no fault to Laurie and Kevin!) This cottage met our goals and gave us the opportunity to unwind and relax!”

“Very comfortable especially with three bathrooms. Might want to check on the dishwasher as it leaked one night due to a blockage of pumpkin seeds. Bottom tray is quite difficult to slide in and out. Excellent fishing. Thank you.”

“While there were many good points about the property there were also some disappointments. This is a pricy rental but some amenities were lacking such as the outdoor furniture. The old well used metal chairs/ love seat have seen better days. There was only one moveable chair to be able to sit on the dock. Many window screens had holes or were poorly patched. The deck walk out door was hard to open and had ripped screens. The single door from the 3 season room had a broken threshold that was……

Our room was so very private with a very comfortable bed fireplace, and an en-suite bathroom. The breakfast served was delicious. We definitely recommend Grey Gables for a beautiful, unique, quiet, convenient and welcoming place to stay! ”

“I liked that I was able to park my truck and enclosed trailer where I can see it. What I didn’t care for was the service…. The young girl gave me the impression of process and go feeling … wasn’t interested in hearing about the opportunity of changing rooms…. But I will stay there again yhough”

“The owner is EXTREMELY responsive, which is a huge positive as apposed to other cottage owners. The property is located steps (probably not more than 5) from the water. Amazing sunrise and sun set. The cottage is equipped with everything as specified in the ad. It is a lot more spacious than photos show. There are groceries near by, cell service and wifi signal is great. I would definitely re-book when it’s hotter outside as the lake was frozen for winter.”
