「We stayed at Walnut Lodge from 22nd to 29th July 2025 while attending a wedding at a nearby château just 5 minutes away—and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. 「We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a week and it was blissful. A bubbling river runs along the bottom of the garden and many an hour was spent sitting next to the river, sipping something cool and nodding off to the sound of the water. The host, Katherine and her two wonderful granddaughters were absolutely delightful and nothing was too much trouble. There are stunning castles galore to visit within a short distance and great restaurants too. We will definitely return. 」

「Très agréable et très tranquille」

「Le propriétaire est quelqu'un de très agréable, très accueillant. Nous étions 4 couples d'amis avec 5 enfants (de 1 mois à 5 ans). L'endroit est reposant et magnifique. Le service est de très grande qualité (la maison est magnifique, les pièces sont très grandes, la literie est top), tout est compris (linge, draps, ménage en fin de séjour) ce qui rend le séjour zen. Les enfants ont adoré nourrir les animaux. Les parents ont adoré les soirées sur la terrasse, le terrain de pétanque, la piscine...

「This holiday was simply fantastic. The house was ideal for our family of six adults and a 1 year old child. Set in open countryside the property was easy to find, secluded, peaceful and the thick stone walls kept us cool in what were unusually high temperatures. No light pollution so the stars had to be seen to be believed. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed most of our meals outside on a long table and comfortable new chairs. There were more than enough toys to occupy our little ones, and they loved having the choice of spending hours in the pool, or on the trampoline. Would love to stay again!」
