"Nous venons de passer une semaine dans cette maison très chaleureuse et globalement bien équipée. Si 2 familles, chacun peut avoir son intimité grâce à 2 espaces nuits (RDC et deuxième étage). Pièce de vie agréable, même si sombre et dotée de peu d'éclairages. la cuisine pourrait être équipée de plus de plats à four , saladiers et autres. "l'accès au chalet est impossible pour des personnes à mobilité réduite.(chemin rocheux en pierre en surplomb d'un ruisseau et d'un passage pour un chalet en contre-bas), aucun aménagement de sécurité. De crainte de tomber on a été obligés de prendre des batons de marche pour acceder. "This family owned hotel is in the heart of Cauterets. The hotel is older and is evident when you walk the stairs and hallways where you can feel the slant in the floors. The room was very large and clean, with older french style furniture and curtains. The bathroom is very modern and had a large soaking tub. Like many French bathrooms, the toilet was in a separate “closet” outside the main bathroom, and although this is a bit odd at least this one had a hand sink inside. The breakfast was typical French but extra special because it included homemade breads, jams and fresh squeezed orange juice. The hotel is centrally located to everything and had great walkability. Free parking is available on the back street of the hotel. The hotel has a lovely courtyard on the first floor, and the surprise was seeing the eight tortoises, who have been in the family for generations that the family cares for. The gondola wasn’t open yet when we visited. Cauterets is a charming town and wish we could have stayed longer. We had a fantastic meal at Natural Takka restaurant and liked the food so much we ate there 2 nights in a row! We bought new hiking shoes at La Cordee shop where we had excellent service. She measured our feet for size and found out the hiking shoes we were wearing were too small, so we ditched the ones we had and walked out with our new ones and feet feeling much happier. The spa is directly behind the hotel. Staff was wonderful and very helpful."

"used a few times before so would recommend this hotel. Good location and we used a free car park several minutes walk away. Staff very friendly & helpful. Room was a nice size & clean, overlooking the street below although, in my opinion it would benefit from a little tlc. . We watched a fiesta parade from the open windows last time we stayed. Buffet breakfast was very enjoyable with a nice fresh selection. First time we stayed a couple of years ago we had a lovely evening meal & wine which was very nice & reasonably priced however I'm not sure of the operating hours of the bar/lounge, would be well worth checking. Jaca has a lovely 'feel' to it."

"Hotel Continental Balneario The hotel is located in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains with a stunningly beautiful mountainside backdrop which is absolutely picturesque. The hotel has an extensive spa with thermal baths. It has its own in house restaurant and other restaurants on site. We ate in the hotel restaurant which was a tasty buffet style offering a wide range of salad, hot meals and deserts. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. This is a pristine place to stay especially if you are touring the Pyrenees. A number of fellow motorcyclists were staying at the same time."
