This was the perfect location for any downtown La Jolla needs. It was walking distance to the beach and overlooked the ocean. The host was responsive and polite. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was it was super hot without air conditioning and stinky due to the proximity of ocean I presume.

Starting with the positive. Amazing views and location. Well supplied kitchen (plates, pots/pans, etc.), even provided kid friendly items (cups, utensils, plates, etc.). Host was responsive. However, the unit itself was in need of cleaning. The floors were filthy and walls were in need of a fresh coat of paint. Additionally, the floors/walls are very thin and you can hear every step taken by the occupants above you. This is something that the host mentions at day off checkin but not before. We unfortunately spent our week listening to the stomping of the people (kid and adults) in the unit above us. The noise and general grime combined to make it a rather unpleasant stay and far from the relaxing vacation we were hoping to experience.
