Summary:

Just 3 blocks from our beachfront boardwalk. Its location in the very center of the heart of La Paz can’t be beat; we especially recommend the one-block walk to our charming Jardín Velasco, the cathedral and plaza or stay home and relax in the courtyard soaking tub, and admire the stunning handmade décor adorning your walls. No matter what you decide to do with your time here, we know you’ll take delight in the lovely Casa Costa Azul.



The Space:

It has two bedrooms with a king size bed or if you wish we can separate them into two single beds, the master bedroom has its own bathroom, another full bathroom is located in the common living-dining-kitchen area. The very cozy living room with a sofa bed and TV, a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook, the patio with a beautiful pool and a super comfortable living room, are waiting for you to enjoy your vacation.

The Neighborhood:

Casa Costa Azul lies in the heart of old La Paz, one block from the Malecón (the boardwalk that lines the cove), and one block from the Cathedral and the central plaza. La Paz’s finest restaurants are within a block or two of the house. Within strolling distance are two traditional Mercados where you can buy fresh fish, meats and vegetables.



The neighborhood restaurants include JR Ribs, Tres Virgenes, Sorstis, 1240 coffee shop, La Masa and MoMo fantastics pastries bakeries.



Casa Costa Azul is the perfect place to explore Baja California Sur’s only true Mexican city, set like a pearl in the crown of the Bay of La Paz. Your days can be spent wandering the shops and markets, strolling the Malecón, or heading to the islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, or playing with the sea lion cubs.



Getting Around:

Ideal for walking around the city center and the promenade, you can use Uber to get to the beaches, or if you want to rent a car, the house has exclusive parking for you.

The place was clean and conveniently located by restaurants, cafes, and the malecon! We loved the high ceilings and spaciousness. It was in the mid 90s with high humidity when we stayed there, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space because there was no fan outside. There was no covering for the dip pool either. There was no AC unit facing the living room, so we spent most of the time sitting at the dining table, which has an AC unit. These are only minor inconveniences due to how hot it was during our visit, but don't think they would be much of an issue if visiting during a cooler time.

Wonderful stay in central La Paz

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Costa Azul. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the plaza, the malecon, great restaurants, grocery and pharmacy. The outdoor space was our favourite part of the property with lots of comfortable seating, a BBQ, nice lighting and a plunge pool. Monica was easy to reach and responded to any of our questions with great recommendations for whatever we were looking for. We'd definitely stay here again! Thank you.

A fine two bedroom in La Paz

My friend and I had a fine time while staying in La Paz for a fishing trip. Communication was easy and the house was as described. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the ACs were off when we checked in at 5pm. It was really hot inside the house and we weren’t able to get it cooled down until the next day.

Location!!

Loved how centrally located we were. Walking distance to the boardwalk and dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars. Jacuzzi and patio in the back were the perfect place to hang out in the evenings. Would highly recommend!

A short holiday for our granddaughters spring break. An amazing introduction to Mexican life in La Paz. Perfect location and the facilities were excellent. My only complaint concerned the sofa bed. Since there were 5 of us, one had to use the sofa bed and the mattress was very uncomfortable - the loser of the toss had to sleep on the couch.

Perfect stay in the center of La Paz

We loved our stay! The place is right in the center of the city, surrounded by lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. The best restaurant is right across the street, sorstis. The Vrbo was spacious, clean, safe, and we loved the small pool area in the back. Our property manager and staff were very attentive and replied quickly to all of our messages, even when we accidentally left the coffee on before leaving for a 5am fishing trip. We used WhatsApp and the company sent someone right over to turn it off. We were so appreciative. They even left a birthday cake for my husband and that was very sweet surprise. We would definitely stay here again!

A special spot in La Paz

Second time staying at this location. We love it because of the beautiful patio and pool, as well as it's close location to several of our favorite spots in town. Was a perfect spot to work for the week from. La Paz is getting busier, but it was still easy to find parking within a block from the home. Recommend for your trip!

Nice place in the town

This was a nice place to stay a good layout and quality furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has a lot of great details. That being said, the outside pool didn't heat up, which was a shame, so we didn't use it.

Great stay

Had a wonderful time while visiting La Paz. The house is very inviting when you first enter. I only wish we had more time to use amenities like a cook for a day or masseuse. The recommendations for restaurants were great. I also used google to look for off the beaten path food locations. The food and beaches in La Paz are amazing. If you’re looking to go away from the typical vacation areas (Cabo) and enjoy the real people and places of Mexico. You can’t go wrong in La Paz

We just loved the house (we were here in La Paz for a Month). The kitchen is well equipped. The location in Centro (Downtown) is amazing, you can easily walk to many restaurants. Only a couple of blocks downhill to the Malecon. There is a supermarket only a block away. In the evening it can get a little noisy from nearby restaurants, people talking on the street. There is also a loose manhole cover, which makes for a loud noise when run over. The noise issue mostly effects the bedroom that is street side. However, there was a fan provided for white noise. There is a park (outdoor seating area) next to the house, the gates are locked early in the evening. It was a non issue. Ana was kind enough to arrange water delivery to the house, at a reasonable price, which is a big help. The pool is well maintained. Ana also had cleaners come by every week - they did an excellent job. If I were back in La Paz I would definitely stay here again.

60th birthday trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to LaPaz. The Casa was exactly as reported. Monica was fabulous and answered all our questions(I had many). She even left a birthday cake for my sister which was quite a splendid surprise. The location was so close to anything and just several blocks from the malicon. Thank you for sharing. We especially enjoyed the soaking tub!!

Central beautiful location

Casa Azul was incredible, in the perfect centralized location just a couple blocks to the malecon. Plenty of cafes, restaurants And shops close by. I have to mention we all had great sleep every night, the bedding was so comfortable. I also appreciated that they provided a five gallon water for us that we used to refill our bottles. Thank you so much for all the comfort we'll be back.

Wonderful property, perfect location

This home is truly a gem; from the moment you enter it is clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures, even better. Every detail was covered in the extensive binder provided. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and the courtyard patio was the perfect place to spend the afternoon and evenings. The pool was a wonderful treat in the warm afternoons. Among the best aspects of the home was the location in the vibrant, historic area of La Paz. Many restaurants and coffee shops. We felt very safe the entire time and no problem parking our rental car on the street in front of the house. Ana was extremely responsive and so helpful. We had a truly wonderful time and will be back!
