Lovely Desert Get-Away
The Bottlebrush house was great for our much-needed sunshine break from the PNW. Great layout and amenities, well-stocked kitchen, amd really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. So nice to have some solar heating of the pool - most places charge $150+ per day and totally unheated pool in late winter/early spring can be way too chilly. This was perfect, cool but refreshing. We've stayed in several different desert cities and each has their pluses and minuses, but we enjoyed the less-frenetic La Quinta and found several great hikes nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Great visit
Had a wonderful stay in La Quinta, Saddlebrush. Lots of things to do, especially hiking and terrific restaurants nearby. Wouldn't recommend the Cliff, lots of hype but food ok and service was not good. Conversely, La Brasserie was a good choice, chef is from Alsace, France so there was a blend of French and German food but not the heavy German food. We had a very good meal at Basil Thai in the old village, small size restaurant so get there early. Owners responded to the few questions that we had within a minute or two via text. One recommendation to visitors, there's a pantry with various spices and food, suggest that you check in first to see what you need to do for groceries. There's a yoga mat in the garage as well as bikes. Visit Joshua Tree National Park, wow! We got a little lost but were able to see more of the park this way, lol. A person told us that when we go, have a plan. We thought that we did but maybe not as much as we should have. It's also a fair amount cooler over on that side of the mountains. We went in the North Entrance and drove quite a way into the park, at first thinking we were lost but figured it out and hiked at Split Rock. Directly across that entrance is Skull Rock although we were too tired to go hike there. Impressive and interesting rock formations. Bring water and snacks. Also, if the parking lot has a sign that it's full, drive in and check anyway as there were a number of spots available as people leave. Happy trails!

Home away from home… literally
My husband and I stayed here almost the entire month of January for a work trip along with our assistant and our dogs. The property is absolutely as delightful as the pictures show. We were very cozy but also, had plenty of privacy from each other. The yard was perfect for our dogs… it helped us relax (after a long day) to see our animals so relaxed. The owners were so welcoming. We wanted for nothing: plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, cooking supplies, laundry supplies, and even snacks! They also checked in with us upon arrival to make sure we could contact them if we had any issues. We could not be more pleased. So so thankful for a wonderful 3.5 weeks. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in La Quinta.

Had a wonderful vacation over Labor Day weekend!
My family and I (4 people + our dog) stayed here over Labor Day weekend and we had an amazing experience! Beautiful, safe, clean, organized, spacious, dog friendly! We had an amazing and relaxing stay at bottle brush. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and well kept. Best part is that the pantry we stocked and they had everything we needed for our stay. They definitely paid attention to detail (the little things do matter) I would definitely recommend and would stay there again on my next visit.

Incredibly Relaxing!
We stayed 5 nights at this house and enjoyed every minute! There were a few minor issues that needed attention when we arrived, but I texted the owners and property manager and the issues were resolved within an hour. We had no other problems except maybe trying to decide whether to go in the pool or the jacuzzi. The location of this house is perfect. It’s very close to a grocery store, and a short drive to either Old Town La Quinta or the Palm Desert area. As I said, we loved every minute of our stay. We’ll be back! ❤️

An oasis in the desert!!!
This was delightful! The house was beautiful. The property was amazing. The privacy of the pool was delightful. I have never arrived with a fully stocked kitchen at any other property. Snacks and milk in the fridge and juices and water and all kinds of stuff we're available and even a gift of a beautiful Chardonnay. You people are awesome and very responsive for the minimal problem with the sprinkler system. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Quintessential La Quinta!
Our stay at Bottlebrush was fantastic! The property was beautiful, stocked pantry and fridge with all the essentials, and even a thoughtful welcome gift. We brought our own pool toys and floats, but they even had some there in the garage and an outside storage box that we could use too!! There were also bicycles in the garage. They thought of everything! Our family really enjoyed our weekend and would definitely stay here again!

Arrived at the property to a nice welcome package & fully stocked pantry- so fabulous especially with 3 kids! Bottlebrush meets all expectations and more! Just about everything one can think of to make one’s stay easy is provided. The owners have thought of everything. Very Thoughtful Rental
We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving here. The rental is thoughtfully stocked, the checkin process is easy, and the checkout process is even easier. Nice backyard to relax in. Streets were quiet enough to have a Thanksgiving football game. It was too cold to use the pool this time of year, but we knew that going into the rental. Would definitely recommend a look if you are looking to stay in the La Quinta area.

Need a place to escape?
This is my 3rd stay at The Bottlebrush! If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, safe and inviting rental for your next vacation then your at the right place. The pool and jacuzzi were the perfect conference rooms for my friends and I to luxuriate and cool down after hiking the trails at Joshua tree. The property was cleaned thoroughly and had a fully stocked pantry and refrigerator all we needed were a few items to keep us fed and snacks. The host as well as their staff are very responsive and helpful should you need something addressed. They were communicating with us to ensure that our flights were on time and that we had a safe trip into La Quinta. Beautiful lighting, comfy beds, comfy and inviting seating, backyard best for hosting a 3 person dance party under the stars! Shoutout to the host for welcoming us with a bottle of local wine and dates and also a few recommendations! We had a blast!!

Great vacation home in La Quinta
We just returned from a week at The Bottlebrush. We’ve stayed in many vacation homes over the past number of years. We have never been in one that was so thoughtfully stocked for a vacationing family. In addition to the welcome gifts of wine and local dates, there were groceries in the fridge to get us started, and a full pantry of staples and snacks. We spent much of our time in the pool and large fenced yard, enjoying the welcome break from ice and snow. We also drove twice to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, The kids loved being able to feed the giraffes and pet the wallabies, and the adults especially appreciated the beautiful desert gardens. Shawn and Shakeh are excellent hosts, and if this house is available on our next trip to Palm Springs, we’ll be booking it.

Highs and lows
At first blush, we found the property (interior) seemed clean, light & airy in a nice quiet neighborhood. The master bedroom carpet was very dirty and the area rugs worn and torn. The pantry & fridge were well stocked But w/ food stuffs that were months past their freshness dates (!) so we had to replace many items. The backyard was not clean on arrival so we had to clean everything before enjoying time outdoors. Not sure who the property manager was - the neighbor informed us she was out of town. But we appreciated the owners checking in with us by text. The bed in master and queen in guest room were very uncomfortable tho there was an abundance of towels and nice linens. TV and internet were efficient but the colored lights were annoying as they seemed to have a mind of their own. In general, I would say the property is a bit tired and in need of a refresh. And if you’re going to provide food stuffs, make sure they’re fresh!

We are happy for your highs but sadly it seems like your lows have nothing to do with the quality of our house or hospitality. It's hard to write, but for the record most everything that you stated in your review turned out to be not true. As you said, we communicated with you throughout your stay and the only thing that we heard from you was that you were enjoying yourself and that you felt very well cared for. Had we known that you had any concerns at all, we would have done everything to make you happy during your stay. Respectfully, we're not able to change your lows days after you left the house. We are truly sorry that you feel that way and wish you well.

My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves here at The Bottlebrush house. House was clean and perfect. We’ve stayed at quite a few vacay homes, and this is on the top of the list. Fantastic Getaway
Perfect place to stay in La Quinta for family of 4...The owners could not have been more attentive...One night we were set to watch the Academy Awards, but realized the TV wasn’t set up to get network shows...When we called to see what we could do, within 5 mins, they subscribed to receive the network channels (they did have ALL streaming services), and we were able to watch the Academy Awards!....Also, we stay at a lot of rentals in PS, and I have never seen one as well-stocked with goodies, water, snacks, etc... as this one....In fact I will always be in debt to these two wonderful people for introducing me to Pellegrino flavored waters—which I never had—and the refrigerator was stocked with...It’s become my new favorite drink!...House was spotless and well-equipped, beds were great and even though the house was a little smaller than I expected, there was plenty of room for privacy—in the beautiful backyard (with hot tub, dining area and great hammock or in the front of the house where the pool was....Location was also perfect for walks, and close to great restaurants for dinner and shopping.... These two have thought about everything to make the stay at Bottlebrush as comfortable and convenient as possible...Thank you for your outstanding hospitality!

Amazing family getaway!
My kids said they never wanted to leave! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was incredible. It was my son's 5th birthday and there were birthday balloons waiting at the door. The fridge was fully stocked with fiji water, tejava teas, sparkling flavored pellegrinos, and kids milk boxes. The pantry as well, was an oasis of snacks. The slippers on each bed was another sweet touch. I mainly chose this property for it's outdoor pool and hot tub. However, the location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood, but not secluded from markets and such. We enjoyed the family games such as battleship and outdoor jenga. They have a great selection! Their communication was very consistent and information shared prior to our visit was very useful. The cleanliness was impeccable and furnishings very appropriate and tasteful. I just can't cover everything because there are so many details that make this place so special and a delightful surprise. I highly recommend you stop looking if you have found this place and read my review. You will not find anything better! Shawn and Shakeh have set the bar very high for future rentals. That is why we will just have to keep coming back!

Gorgeous Property
This is a great property. We spent a week here and loved it so much we asked for late check out and when the owner told us no one would be checking in on our check-out day, we paid to stay another day! It's a beautiful house, beautiful property/ yard, and so much attention to detail throughout the house. Movie Projector in the master bedroom was a huge hit on movie night! We will absolutely be back to Bottlebrush.

Great spot for a winter break!
What a great house! Bottlebrush has it all! Pool hot tub comfortable rooms! The best part is the professional touches. All snacks water, drinks and touches to make you feel welcome. An app to run every device and give you advice on shopping and restaurants. You download once and all at a touch. Pet friendly, nice neighborhood. We went for a week stayed for 2. The owners could have been more accommodating. I had zoom meetings and the Wi-Fi was up to the challenge. Close enough to enjoy the area but quiet enough to relax. We rent VRBO a bit and this was a top tier rental. Worth every penny. Just bring your toothbrush! Wait they had one just in case.

A Birthday/get out of the house getaway
We had an absolutely enjoyable stay in this home. With Covid we didn't go out much, but this was the change of scenery and comfort we needed after being home for 9 months. From making the reservations, to asking questions and the hospitality everything was above and beyond five stars. Everything was clean, comfy, worked properly and the owners even left enjoyable snacks, beverages, condiments and cooking supplies. Our dogs had an enjoyable time and enjoyed the fenced yard and the walks. We would love to visit this house again in the future and would like to thank the owners for sharing their home with us.

Perfect Getaway
My sister and I wanted to get away for a few days, and Bottlebrush was perfect in every way. It was clean, it was well stocked with delicious treats, and the owners were very helpful. We will be back!

Wonderful house
This house has everything you could possible need. The house has a lovely pool and hot tub to relax in and on top of everything it has an extremely well stocked pantry and fridge. Every room has a huge tv and complimentary Netflix and beds are very comfy. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Best VRBO stay, ever!
The home was extremely well decorated...perfect; an understated Southwest theme. It was incredibly clean...especially in time of covid. The owners thought of absolutely every amenity possible, toothbrushes, nail polish remover, contact solution; all new and sealed. There were plenty of towels and excellent toiletries. The refrigerator and pantry were the best surprise with waters, ice tea, milk, nuts, chips, breakfast bars, every tea imaginable. There was a Keurig , an espresso maker both with pods provided and an excellent French press! A citrus basket provided a nice touch for our cocktails. We enjoyed the sparking pool, jacuzzi, fire pit and grill. We were 5 adults and the property provides plenty of space to be "alone" and curl up with a good book. We all agreed we would book again. Thank you Shawn and Shakeh for being such thoughtful hosts.

This place has everything and the owners think of everything. We needed nothing, they keep the place stocked and ready for anything you could possibly forget and are excellent at communicating with you and accommodating the little things and the big things. 10/10 will recommend and we will definitely want to stay here again for our next small group trips to the area.

Overwhelmed
We were overwhelmed by the property. It was clean and very well stocked. There were little things to make us feel at home, a bottle of wine, drinks chilled in the refrigerator, bikes of various sizes in the garage, sunscreen, a plethora of board games, bowls out for the dogs. The house was completed with nice features and conveniences. Communication with the owners and property manager were efficient, welcoming, and professional. We greatly enjoyed the house and pool and look forward to staying again.

La Quinta in August

Fantastic Property and Hospitality
We booked this property for a long weekend to celebrate Father’s Day and my wife’s birthday. Check-in was simple. The house is wonderful. The home is spacious and we loved having the pool to enjoy in the desert heat. The kitchen was stocked with everything and it made the lives of our snacking children much easier. The house general felt inviting and Very comfortable. We appreciated the attention to detail all around. Would definitely book again.
