“Absolutely amazing property. Feels very isolated and quiet. The beach was perfect for our son and dog to play all day. The property didn’t look like it had really been cleaned well ( hair in the tub and dog hair wasn’t vacuumed) but we just cleaned it up ourselves no big deal. Definitely not even close to a deal breaker and we will absolutely be staying again!!”

“This place offered the perfect getaway from the city, and I loved having the kayaks available for use! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook. The outdoor area down by the river was peaceful despite the nearby highway, and when the water level is low earlier in the day you can walk the kayaks down to the water. Note that the current gets much stronger in late afternoon and water level rises, so don’t get stuck paddling home upstream. Learned that the hard way!”

“We loved our stay. The condo was clean and included everything we needed. There were a couple things that took away from our experience. The hallway window sills had hundreds of dead flies and the plants were dead or nearly dead. On the last day the elevator ceased to work. I am guessing that these are more of a condo association oversight.”

“What a beautiful home and setting! A spacious 4 bedroom home sitting above the beautiful Chippewa river! Comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen and a very nice outdoor space that included a fire ring! Angie was a wonderful host and maintained contact from the moment I booked with her! We visited wineries, parks, a mansion, waterfalls and other sites within a short drive of the house! I would highly recommend the Codax Retreat for a very nice get-a-way!”

“This was our second stay at this cottage and we had another great vacation. It’s a great location on the lake and the cottage has everything you need. We caught plenty of good size crappie every day. The lake is beautiful and the location is quiet and secluded. Craig is very responsive and was able to quickly respond to our questions.
