"My room was not fancy, but was very comfortable with a king size bed, night stands and a table with two chairs. The room was spacious and very clean. The tasty breakfast included hard boiled eggs, cold cuts, a wide variety of pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit cocktail and, of course coffee and tea and OJ. The staff was very friendly and handled requests promptly. The only TV was in the lobby/breakfast room, which was actually a comfortable place to hang out. We weren't there to watch TV - we were there to hike and Vertical Lodge was the perfect choice for our visit. I would definitely stay there again."

"It’s an amazing place of comfort in a location like El Chalten. We arrived with one of us having a stomach bug. First they recognized the issue and upgraded our room to one with a great Mountain View. The host Florencia was impeccable remembering our preferences and giving apt suggestions. She even carried our luggages from the car to the room. This place and food really helped me recover quickly. The dining staff went above and beyond to help us get apt food at odd times of the day. They didn’t even charge us for one of the dinners. The quality and variety they had for vegetarians was sufficient. This is the only hotel seem to located at a higher elevation in the town and it has great views from here. The staff must be commended for their prompt cleaning and overall maintenance. Overall a great property and we would love to come back here again. Especially when in a place like this, we are at the mercy of weather. So, having a comfortable place like this will compensate for bad weather days."

"Viento de Glaciares was an exceptional stay and truly elevated our time in El Chaltén. My spouse and I visited for three nights as part of a birthday trip centered around hiking, and the experience could not have been better. Before we even arrived, Claudia was incredibly responsive and helped me coordinate a small birthday surprise for my spouse, which she executed perfectly. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Claudia and Thai, their calm and friendly family dog, who was peacefully sitting outside. Claudia showed us around the property and kindly placed us in one of the larger rooms, which we really appreciated. The property itself is serene and beautifully set, with stunning views of the national park that make it feel like a true retreat. One of the standout aspects was the breakfast. Each day, Claudia asked what time we preferred to eat and then prepared an abundant, delicious spread that easily fueled our long hiking days. The kitchen is also available for guest use during lunch and dinner, which is a great added convenience. The room and amenities were thoughtfully designed. The space was very clean, well maintained, and had a modern aesthetic that added a nice touch to the overall experience. The heater kept the room perfectly warm at night, and the six minute hot showers were more than sufficient after long hikes. Toiletry kits and robes were provided, which added a layer of comfort.
