Hike at Dogwood Canyon and check out Aztec Falls. Drive one mile south and you will find Mackay Park. With a stay here, you will be surrounded by endless all-weather, outdoor opportunities including ski resorts in winter and countless trails for hiking and mountain biking in summer.

Beautiful house need TLC

We had a nice stay at this property. We arrived with everything exactly as pictured. The location was great - less than 15 minutes to Lake Arrowhead Village. There were a few areas where our stay could have been better. There is an obvious plumbing issue in the upstairs bathroom and we ended up arriving to water leaking downstairs. We notified the property management company and they were quick to call us regarding the issue, however they weren’t able to send anyone to resolve the issue during our short stay. The kitchen was nice for cooking in but could use some essentials (cutting board, salt, sugar, can opener). Overall the house was great for a large group.

Nice house with beautiful views

Home is nice, views are wonderful. There are quite a lot of difficult steps to get down to the house that are problematic for older people. The main living area doesn’t have a tv which my family didn’t enjoy but there is a tv on the lower level. There were a few minor issues such as a broken shower knob that have been reported to the property management company. Overall the house is very nice, clean and you can’t beat the views!

Beautiful house, dirty and poorly maintained

This house was gorgeous and exactly as depicted in terms of the bones - views and patios are gorgeous, tons of bedrooms, nice living room. But the house is filthy - the management company is obviously not cleaning it much at all between people, and during COVID times no one appreciates being lied to about that. There was obvious dirt and grime on every surface, including kitchen counters, as soon as we walked in - every rug is stained, every pan rusted, etc. The furniture is obviously pulled from thrift stores and the beds are extremely uncomfortable, with low-quality bedding that does not look clean either. There are no basic amenities stocked for either cooking or cleaning: no paper towels, no dishwasher fluid, barely any hand soap (and what there is is watered down and put back in the bottle). No basic spices or anything else you'd need for grilling or cooking - if you do stay here definitely bring 100% of the things you'd expect at most rentals. When I contacted the company during my stay, they never responded at all - so don't expect any of that either. The house was super nice, but I wouldn't rent from this company again.

I may have overlooked it in the home description but there are a flight of stairs to get to the property which means a flight of stairs to walk up to get to your car. Was very doable but ahould be noted for disabled or elderly people. There was also a mention of being able yo swim in the lake which we werenot able to do because the owners did not have a pass. Great floor plan. 3 levels with a bath and at least bedroom on each level. The house just needed a deep clean but was fine otherwise.

great views, so dirty inside

a beautiful house, amazing view. very dirty inside. when we parked our car at the parking area, trash bin is overflowing with trash all over. trash was also all over the slope in front of the entrance. inside, everything was very dusty especially floor. it says to remove our shoes but we couldn't dare to. dead insects are on every corners, kitchen cabinet is grimy, area rugs were dirty. downstairs couch was covered with white dust. we had to buy a sweeper mop to clean floors ourselves because we have a family member who's allergic to house dust and mites. upper floor bathtub knob was broken. i texted the management team member multiple times, the response were prompt but only answers were 'a local manager will contact us' and no one called or texted me. the house is nicely remodeled , modern looking and furnitures were okay, we used the grand piano and had overall good time, but it could have been so so much better only if it was adequately clean. such a shame.

Great view, but house is not at expected.

My family and I stayed at this property for a short getaway. However, our first impression of the place was disappointing. There is no driveway to the house, just a small platform for a carport. The trashcans left on the carport were overflowing. The hillside in front of the home had trash strewn everywhere and paint cans left on the stairs. I was glad that I brought extra disinfectant wipes to wipe down everything in the house because high touch surfaces, such as light switches and countertops, had sticky residue and grime. There were thick layers of dust and scattered trash under the beds. One of the comforters in the bedroom had blood stains on it. The refrigerator/ freezer drawers and shelves had food grime all over them. The cabinetry and ceiling above the stove had thick layers of grease and dirt. One of the dining room chairs was broken. One of the night stands in the bedroom of the main floor had a broken leg and the table top was barely propped on it. On the third floor, the shower knob and the door handle of the shower were broken off. Also, it was obvious that there was a leak from the third floor bathroom because the ceiling was discolored and the paint was bubbling on the ceiling of the second floor bathroom. That issue was not properly repaired, just painted over. There was also a pile of dirty towels next to the washer. I think it is inappropriate to ask guests to start a load of laundry or empty the trash cans upon check out when the condition of the house upon check in does not meet even basic standards of cleanliness. My husband tried to contact Vacasa twice regarding the issues we found in the home and had to wait 45 minutes to speak with a representative. The first time he called they said they would have someone follow up with us. No one did. The second time he called, he hung up after 45 minutes of being on hold. Customer support with Vacasa is a joke. I asked Vacasa for a later check out time and the response was, "We are not able to schedule early check-in or late checkout and with extra cleaning precautions that are housekeepers are taking." It was quite apparent there was no "extra cleaning precautions" or attention to safety.

The house and location are beautiful. Because of the terrible customer service, and how long it takes to speak with someone over the phone for assistance, I will not book through VRBO nor recommend to anyone.

Decent but one big miss

There were a few small problems and one big one. Inside was acceptably clean but there was a lot of grime around the kitchen baseboards. It was annoying when we prepared hamburgers for lunch one day only to discover that all 3 of the large propane cans were completely empty. They changed these out later but it scrubbed our lunch. They left no soap for the dishwasher but had the nerve to request that we start it upon leaving. The biggest problem we had was that the advertised beach pass was expired. Despite a live complaint during our stay this was never remedied and we did not get to the beach which was a big reason that we selected this property.

Beautiful view

Beautiful view and very nice place. Easy check in and fast responses. Most of the beds were cleaned nicely, i just happened to pick the room that they forgot to clean. Sheet was stained with blood stain (new), and bread crumps, pillow case was obvious with pet hair (though they said no pet were allowed). I usually overlooked small stain on bed sheet but this one obviously was NOT cleaned. There was extra sheets in closet but was in a pile and not folded so there was no way to know if there were clean or not. Other than that, other room’s bed was good, kitchen overall clean, bathroom very nice. View was the best.

Horrible

Received email with notification that early check in at 11am was available. We got there at 2pm and the house was not cleaned/disgusting (photos available). After spending all day one the phone with Vacasa management they sent 2 ladies to clean the house close to 8pm. The house cleaners said it would take them at least 4 hours to clean. They left 2 hrs later and did the bare minimum (understandable must be hard to clean with house full of people). Happy to provide pictures.
