Great escape from the big city!
First and foremost Dan was an amazing host who was very hospitable and was just next door if we ever needed anything. The property was as described in the listing and worked out very well for our party of five adults. Everything was ready for us as we arrived and there were even some welcome snacks on the kitchen island counter. I recommend this lake cottage to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway as it's only about an hour away from Chicago. Thanks Dan and we really enjoyed our stay at Lake Dale!

Beautiful Lake House
My family and I really enjoyed staying at Dan’s lake house. The house was clean and spacious with spectacular views as well as quiet and peaceful. Our host Dan was friendly and responded promptly to all of our needs. Everything was provided to make our stay an enjoyable one. We would definitely come here again!

Needs some attention
We were excited about the location of the rental on the lake, however, this potentially cute house needs some attention. The pictures did not reveal the very difficult stairs to get to the front door, the lack of upkeep to the landscaping, or the clutter in the home that made it tricky maneuver through. This house needs some love and care, inside and out, and didn't seem as advertised. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, however, we were disappointed in the property for the price we paid.
