The photos led me to believe I would be in nature but instead it was right off the interstate with transports going all night but for the wee hours except when they pulled up for the night or left at 5am. I had the ac going full blast to drown out the noise of the traffic so that I could sleep. It may not be an issue for other travelers but it was for me. Otherwise the property and owners were great

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the quaint lake Shasta lodge. Our dog loved running around the grassy area at the end of the property. After spending our days hiking, we relaxed with drinks and food at the friendly Klub Klondike next door (which has a dog friendly patio).

We needed a place close to the Shasta Caverns, and this seemed convenient. On the positive side, the assistant manager who checked us in was very nice and helpful. When I walked into the room, it was like going back in time sixty years, which was not a bad thing; it was kind of nostalgic, actually. The room was also very clean. It is, though, bare-bones, with no extra frills, which is fine for just an overnight stay. Interstate 5 is very close, so you’ll hear traffic, especially trucks, all night long, but I always travel with earplugs. A suggestion I would make is maybe put a tableside lamp on the other side of the bed as well. And maybe a luggage rack to put your suitcase on inside the closet. Also, the mattress was very, very firm, so maybe bed toppers would help? Other than those few things, our experience was pleasant, and I would recommend it.

Avoid this place at all costs. The hosts/lodge owners are incredibly inhospitable and unwilling to help. Our stay turned into a nightmare when we discovered our room had no heater in the middle of a freezing night with sub-zero temperatures outside. Despite the presence of other vacant rooms, no alternatives were offered. They begrudgingly gave us a small portable heater for a spacious room, which didn't even work. When we requested an additional heater, their only solution was to check out. STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST VISITING THIS PLACE!

First of all, the heater stopped functioning the night before and we called you 3 times to tell you of the situation and if you wanted to stay somewhere else, but you didn't care to answer your phone. You showed up at the property late. And the rooms that you say were visibly empty, they did not have 2 queen beds to accommodate 3 adults so those so called apparent vacant rooms could not be offered to you. At that time of night, that was the only option we had to give you a portable heater which you didn't even let run for 5 minutes to claim that it didn't work. So next time, check your phone to see if the place you are going to stay the night is calling you several times during the day to inform you of a problem which you just seemed to ignore and then blame the property.

Our stay was nice. The room was cozy and comfortable. There is a dining option which is at walking distance. It is also near to Lake Shasta Caverns. I will recommend Lake Shasta Lodge.

The room was a nice size. Clean room but big stain on curtains... strange smell. Very nice man checked us in and was very helpful. All in all great for our quick stop on our way from coast. Loved the friendly cats on property!

This little motel is next to Klub Klondike a 1940’s building with good food. It easy to check in forget that you will need to drive all day the next day. Great to not drive for an over night stay.

It was mostly clean but found hairs in the shower and on top of toilet. The furnitture and appliances are very old. It needs to be remodeled. Run down. The attendant was very nice.

Great place close to the city, lake and lots of hiking. I was surprised the cabin had a cook top and dishes. I would definitely come back again. We stayed 3 nights in Redding and wished I had stayed here the whole time.

Never again.
Never again. I would not stay at this place. It is worn out. It needs a complete remodel. Floors and furniture are scratched and paint peeling. The AC did work.

I thought this hotel was in Mt Shasta so i had to back track south It's fine for overnight, very dated, could use some updating However, excellent service, had micro, frig no restaurants; have to get back on freeway if you're hungry Great price

The coffee pods were so old the glue on them fell apart when you tried to make coffee. The bed moved across the floor with very little exertion.

It's a very old (1947) building and could use some fresh paint. The AC unit was very loud . That said the bed was fine although the bedspread looked like it was from 1947 too. It appeared clean and the staff was very nice. It was OK for a one night stop on a road trip.

Staff were super nice and service was outstanding, I forgot a necklace and they went out of their way to contact me to get it back. Place was very comfy and relaxing, outside patio was nice as well. Lake, Caverns, and waterfalls just a short drive away in every direction. Can’t wait to be back.

We do not know where you booked your reservation at, but the false advertising is through them, not us. All our rates are consistent during the summer across all platforms that we manage.

We had a great time during our 7 day stay while we boated Lake Shasta! The owners and manager of the lodge were very attentive and helpful. The boat parking area was safe and secure. The rooms could use some updating and the area behind our side of the hotel could use some tidying, but none of those things kept us from having a great time and enjoying our stay!

Nice stay!
The room was exactly as advertised. We needed a place to stay during the heat wave as we were traveling. Comfortable beds and great A/C. Friendly person at check-in. Gave us ideas of places to go.
