「Great cottage right on the bay, very relaxing.」

「A truly beautiful view of the river! A very nice place to stay!」

「The cottage was perfect for 2 for an anniversary get away. Convenient to Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown without being congested. A number of restaurants in the area. Watching the sunset from the river dock was beautiful every night. Although we only ate breakfast there, the kitchen seemed to be equipped with most everything you need. Although we had no problem, the narrow steep stairs to the bedroom could be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Overall a very nice place to stay if...

「Overall it was a decent property for those looking to relax. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Getting the kayaks down the hill onto the beach was challenging. Not a lot of beach space when the tide comes in. Lots of jellyfish in July and we couldn't swim. The creek area was calm and it made kayaking easier. This was my first time renting a house on the river. Beautiful property with amazing views .」

「The Cottage at Gwynn Island is truly magical. Such a wonderful setting on the bay with a private beach to swim with our doggies. Our host was extremely kind and we look forward to visiting again soonSincerely Joyce and Gary」

「Spent a weekend here with friends and it was great. The only reason we rate it 4 stars instead of 5 is because due to an unforeseen maintenance issue, the pool was not accessible for the duration of the stay. The host was able to provide pool passes for the town pool located around the corner from the house and was able to help us out on the cost per night since a main reason we booked was to be able to relax by our own pool. The dock was relaxing and provided great wildlife from herons and...

「The house is beautiful with tall ceilings and nice design touch. We enjoyed our weekend gate away there.」

「This is a nice place to relax and have as a home base. It was really nice coming 'home' after busy days.」

「The house is great. Very clean and the A/C works great! I was surprised that the dock ended abruptly and is blocked. We were there to fish and crab, but fishing was more about getting snagged because we couldn't cast from the end of the dock. Jelly fish were by the hundreds in the water. Not any issue of the property owner just disappointing for anyone wanting to swim. Closet swim beach that is useable by renters is about a 12 minute drive. Wake Beach is about 100 yards of sandy beach...

「Charming and exactly as shown on the pictures of the property. So comfortable, well appointed and right on the water. Serene and peaceful, however, there are cute towns around with great shopping and dining.」

「We live in the county but just needed some extra room for our visiting nephew. I was very familiar with area so it was an easy decision. We had so much planned for his visit but he was addicted to fishing after day one so a lot of our time was spent on the dock fishing and crabbing. It was a wonderful week. The pictures of the house are exactly as it is.」

「We enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle Rd, The cottage was prefect for me and my wife.」

「I was extremely impressed with our experience. The place is quiet, accommodating, good for families with small kids, and has breathtaking views. Highly recommended!」

「We had a great time. The Beach and dock were convenient and easily accessible.」

「3rd year in a row here! It’s the best! Jennifer is super communicative and responsive to all needs. She also ensures the house is a home and cozy at that! Half Shell Haven has plenty of space for all of the activities, is stocked with everything you could need (kitchen for cooking, bathroom necessities you may forget, and plenty of extra blankets). The dock is super nice and allows you to crab from right there. Will continue to come back :)」

「Can’t say enough good things about this place. Well organized, clean, perfect spot on a private beach. I wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be coming back!」

「My daughters and I had an amazing time at the sweet Escape. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the beach access, views of the bay, dolphins swimming and also the town of white stone and kilmarnock. My nanny lived in white stone when I was a little girl and staying here really brought back a lot of memories. Thank you for sharing your home with us.」
