“I had never stayed in a bed-and-breakfast before, but my wife convinced me it would be fun. Little did I know how great this experience would be. When we arrived, we were greeted by Angela, the innkeeper. What a wonderful woman. A great host, a great cook, and a wealth of information about Williamsburg. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Williamsburg Sampler B & B. The accommodations were lovely - cozy and inviting decor with several different seating areas for guests downstairs to relax outside of their rooms in addition to a open and large kitchen - dining area. The rooms themselves were comfortable and well appointed. The Breakfasts were suburb! Stephanie, the B & B hostess out-did herself with her hospitality. Pluses included that Colonial Williamsburg and a variety of restaurants……

“We loved our stay. The bed was so so comfortable. One of the most comfy beds we've slept in! The b&b is adorable, walking distance to everything, and the breakfast is homemade cooked fresh and absolutely delicious! Feels more like you are spending your vacation in a nice home with all the amenities rather than a hotel/inn since they keep it so quaint and homey! We will absolutely stay again when we come back to Williamsburg!! Thank you!”

“Perfect location, helpful staff, very clean. Basic breakfast included was tasty, though a bit limited. Pleasant terrace adjacent to dining area for breakfast or relaxation. Bed a bit firm for my tastes, but overall would not hesitate to stay again and definitely recommend Fife & Drum.”

“The whole area around New Kent is full of history, but not all can boast of housing Martha Washington and hosting George as he courted her! It was a treat to be able to stay here. Marty’s Kitchen, across the street, offered tasty local dishes very reasonable priced. The only challenge we had was the location of the bathrooms. A couple of guests had to go through the room of another to get to the bathroom or go downstairs. Coffee availability was plentiful in the form of Keurigs in both floors.……
