Quirky to find, owner very helpful, position to Launceston & travelling north & south quite good if you have a car, clean, older style, smallish but self contained, 2 toilets & laundry. All you need!

Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston
The hotel was ok but found we were ignored by staff at the bar as they were too busy chatting. Room was clean and good Local area was good with a drive to the national park with swimming pool.

Commodore Regent Launceston
Bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Very hot in room, and air conditioner not up to the job. Rooms close to road are noisy due to Launceston's abundance of motoring enthusiasts with noise enhanced cars. Opened window to try and cool room but of course it is then even noisier. I asked for a room further ...
