Additionally, the location was perfect to enjoy all of the Andy Griffith fun, which were all also great! Be sure to do the squad car tour, Snappy’s, Barney’s cafe, Floyd’s, the courthouse, Wally’s, downtown, and take your time in the museum to view the slide show and read all the things. “The three of us (all age 66) had an excellent stay. We spent most of our time there on the deck enjoying the view -- even on cloudy/rainy days. Beds/bedrooms were comfortable. Everything was clean. The inside living area was also comfortable. My sister cooked a nice meal and found the kitchen served her needs just fine. One night we enjoyed the comfortable living room while watching a movie on the big TV. Not too far away (driving) are some nice walking trails. Pilot Mountain State park is……
