“Beautiful house set within extensive gardens amidst the tranquil Charentes countryside. The House is comfortable, well equipped and full of character. The large garden is private and fully enclosed, with lots of quiet corners to sit and read or just admire the view. The fenced off pool area is excellent - and features ample seats. The Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. All in all this is a wonderful place for a holiday with friends or family in a beautiful corner of south west France.”

“Excellent location, really gorgeous pool and spaces outside were perfect for us, we had four adults and five children between us and the youngest was kept safe as there is no access to the pool or the road if you keep the door and gates locked, which was really helpful. Our trips to Aubeterre were lovely and just a short drive away, sadly the restaurant in Montboyer was closed but we enjoyed making pizza outside and cooking lots of meat and salads. “We were a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 teenagers). We've just finished the most relaxing week in La Borie. The house gave us lots of space, especially the outside space. We loved the house so much that we didn't really venture out except for the supermarket and one day trip.Everything provided, kitchen well equipped, plancha grill for outdoor dining in the barn, loads of fridge and freezer space.Really lovely hosts in Helen and John. “We loved this house - it’s huge with lots of rooms and great spaces for meals etc. We loved the pool and garden and the location was great for exploring the local area and delicious restaurants and a shop within walking distance. Will definitely visit again! ”

“Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. Beaucoup de jeux sont à disposition, ce qui est appréciable pour les enfants et ados ! La piscine est très agréable et bien entretenue (une échelle serait toutefois souhaitable pour sortir plus facilement de l’eau). Les commerces sont proches et les lieux de visite aussi (villages, châteaux…).”

“We found the property well appointed, hot water issue was sorted quickly, and I can't complain about the response either, very good, location was ideal and the view early in the morning was great, and again in the evening as the sun went down.”

La cuisine est bien équipée, manque peut-être quelques accessoires de cuisine. La piscine est remarquable, c'est un vrai plus. L'accueil est cordial et sympathique. Nous recommandons !!”

“We had a blissful two weeks in this lovely property, amazing facilities, pool, large hot tub, out door woodfired pizza oven, and sauna. Plenty of room indoors, excellent wifi, tv etc. location perfect for us to use as a base for long walks, remote , and quiet, but not too far from supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Hosts non intrusive and knowledgeable, available if needed. Brilliant time,.would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you! ”
