From sunrise to sunset, the lake views with peace and quiet are complemented by a brand-new home with every amenity. Sitting on 12 acres, our house is near Finger Lakes vineyards, Pine Creek Rail Trail, Wellsboro PA, Corning Glass Museum, multiple lakes, race tracks(both Motocross and Watkins Glen International), boating, hiking, and fishing. It's amazing how many different things you can do within a 1-minute to 50-minute drive from the house. Scenic, peaceful views all year round from the deck overlooking Lake Cowanesque is the cherry on top! You don't have to go anywhere! Quiet comfort in a brand-new house with central air, a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, smart TV, Starlink 5G WiFi(Over 100 mb/s), and privacy! Blackout curtains and deer roaming the property. Great place to stay if you're looking for great views and some peaceful time away! The house was very cleand the sheets and blankets smell very fresh! We did use the washer and dryer on site to wash some of our clothes!

The views are spectacular. I spent the first hour cleaning. We had to buy cleaning supplies. If you like spiders this is the place to be. It was not quite what was described. The owner sent the cleaner over while we had guests, by that point we had cleaned with the exception of the cobwebs and spiders. Alot of pet hair on the blankets, furniture and pillows. Very difficult to walk our schnoodle as the weeds were pretty high. You can walk down a driveway/circle but to enjoy the rest of the property was rough. Overall it could be a perfect vacation spot, but spiders and golden rod weren't my thing.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was as described in the listing. It was well-equipped and comfortable. The views were great. The access dirt road was a little challenging for our 2013 van but we made it. Parking for two vehicles was tight and backing up before going forward down the exit road was also challenging. Otherwise, a great place to stay for a quiet vacation.

Overall great stay. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Recommendations: larger sign at driveway entrance, another chair for dining table, firepit, extra dish towel, dehumidifier for basement.

Great Little Rental

The property was very cute and had a nice view of Cowanesque Lake. Location is centrally located to visit Mansfield, PA; Wellsboro, PA; Corning, NY and the Finger Lakes (Lake Seneca and Keuka Lake are the closest). We would rent again and host is very responsive.

The stay was good overall. Some quirks to the place such as the temperature quite different between the two floors, beds and pillows could be more comfortable. The basement are quite damn during a rainstorm. But otherwise an enjoyable stay overall and the host Charlie was very nice and helpful!

Our stay at house on the lake.

Place was very nice. Had to clean coffee pot before it could be used, still had filter and grounds from previous guests. Needs new pillows/mattresses and no blankets on beds downstairs where it was a bit chilly. We washed a few dishes before we could use them so a couple of dish towels should be supplied. Beautiful view.

Depends what YOU are expecting.

This is a new home as stated. The view of the lake and hillsides are very nice from the upper deck. However, the house sits uphill above a main highway and all the road noise travels uphill which made getting a good nights rest difficult for a light sleeper like me. I also had an adverse physical affect because the sheets and towels were highly scented with a laundry product like unstoppables. When I expressed these concerns to the caretaker, he responded promptly and brought a brand new set of packaged sheets very quickly. In our opinion, the home needs a good cleaning. We saw cobwebs, I needed to clean cooked on boiled over noodle water or oatmeal off the microwave plate, smelled urine odor on one matresses, and suspect the floors need a fresh mopp. All in all, though, it is a nice little house with properly working appliances and air conditioning, and tv. WIFI signal great. Water from tap tastes fine and plenty of hot water for showers. So, if you are not fussy about a super clean home and don't have any sensory issues like me, I think you will be happy with your stay!

Scenic Location

This is a beautiful, relaxing setting with a nice view of the lake and mountains. It is located near the PA Grand Canyon and the little lovely town of Wellsboro. However, when we arrived, the kitchen floor had not been swept and there was dog hair and dust all over. We contacted Charlie who did respond by sending a housekeeper, but it was 2 1/2 hours after our arrival. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation here.
