Peaceful old country home for our family vacation

The area offers wide range of adventures. Caves, markets, shops, beautiful old villages, stunning scenery. The cottage was well equipped for most of our needs. We do have a few observations. The standing fans were great with the hot weather but the small fan didn't work making one room without window coverings extra warm. A full length mirror would be a nice addition. The downstairs shower was slow to drain. Overall it was the trip of a lifetime and we would not hesitate to recommend

Lovely house in a gorgeous location

The house is a renovated stone farmhouse with a great sheltered porch where we ate many outdoor meals, even during the frequent gentle rain showers. The yard and outbuildings are surrounded by woods and farm fields, where we enjoyed watching the Aquitaine Blond cattle the first week. It's 3K from the village of Le Bugue, where there are great weekly markets, boulangeries, restaurants, and a delightful 1900 theme park and canoe livery. We stayed for a month and one thing I'd do differently is clarify from the start what are the expectations about leaving. We spent our last day cleaning and doing laundry only to learn as we left that our host Carol, who'd been otherwise very responsive, expected to be there when we left, and that all the laundry had to be done by professionals. She told us to ignore the leaving instructions on the refrigerator. That would have been helpful to know from the start. But overall, it was a delightful stay and we highly recommend Chez Felicie.

Central location and very well equipped

We arrived and met by Carol. The property was very good. It accommadated our family group very easily. The kitchen was very well equiped and easy to use. The sofa’s in the lounge were a little uncomfortable as we had a pregnant lady, they were low with very little back support. The bedrooms were very well appointed - one had no hanging space for clothes but we got around that. The two bathrooms were very well fitted and good to use. Overall, our stay was comforatable and better than was expected. There will always be some niggles but they were not enough to put us off booking again.

Great Stay in Le Maine Chez Felice

Our family had a fantastic stay in the farm house Chez Felicie. The farm house is well renewed and comfortable. All rooms were very clean. The location had enough space for my parents in law, my wife, our two daughters and me. Even 2 more people could have stayed there since there are 4 bedrooms. The house is located about 8 min. away from Le Bugue (by car). The surrounding was very calm, no direct neighbours. We only had cows around us which was nice. We enjoyed to sit outside for dinner and breakfast in the big garden and had a nice look over the fields. We also loved the few old pictures of the farmer family who used to live on this farm all their life. A nice gesture of the owner! Thank you Laurence for the great time Chez Felicie! Unser Aufenthalt in der Gite Saint-Amand AT Felicie war wunderbar! Die Lage ist ein Traum! Ringsum Natur und trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten im Ort. Dort gibt es alles, was man braucht. Bäcker, Supermarkt, Restaurants und 2x pro Woche Markt mit frischen Lebensmitteln aus der Region. Für Ausflüge ins Perigord ideal, da das Haus sehr zentral liegt. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Urlaub!

Belle maison ancienne restaurée avec goût

Maison très bien placée au coeur du Périgord à proximité de nombreux sites (châteaux, jardins, grottes…). Emplacement idéal pour le repos, les visites, et le Bugue à 10 min en voiture (commerces, marché, restaurants) Vaste jardin et terrasse ouverts sur la campagne avoisinante. Très bon accueil.

Superbe séjour !

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans ce gite charmant. La maison a beaucoup de cachet et elle est très bien équipée. Ce que nous et nos enfants ont le plus apprécié c'est le jardin et le paysage, les vaches dans le champ adjacent à la propriété, un vrai havre de paix et de calme. Les diners dehors sont très agréables sous la tonnelle. Quant à la maison, elle est belle, agréable et pratique. Juste un petit défaut : il faisait très chaud à l'étage car sous les toits (mais nous sommes venus en période de canicule).

logement et environnement parfait!

Très belle maison, rénovée avec goût et située à proximité de tous les points de visite (Sarlat, château de Castelnau, Beynac..). Petit bémol concernant la gestion des déchets car nous devions faire beaucoup de kilomètres afin de trouver les poubelles. Pas de composteur pour les déchets organiques. Le salon de jardin est vétuste, peu confortable et pas très propre (nous n'avons pas trouvé de set de table afin de pouvoir y déjeuner). Le reste était parfait, nous y retournerons avec plaisir!
