Our tour de France trip....

The young man at the front desk was amazing. He was friendly and very helpful. This hotel was an easy to get to and conveniently located in La Mans..October 16. 2025 The only concern we had was the front door didnt lock after dark... other than that, we give it a 9/10

I didn’t really appreciate that this was a Budget Ibis although the price should have given me a clue, so that’s my mistake. It was very basic. The rooms were cramped and the bathroom similar to what you’d find in a ferry. It was a weekend so the restaurant nearby was closed which means we had to go in search of dinner. On the plus side the bedlinens were crisp cotton, the bed comfortable, the price very low and the check-in and check-out staff friendly and efficient.

Shower was basically next to the toilet literally. And our room was very smelly and dirty . However the beds were comfy & spacious , breakfast was nice & staff were friendly Would not stay again

The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful. We accept the there is a hint in the name Budget but there were some things that you wouldn’t expect. There were a number of problems with the room. Toilet seat was loose No plug in the wash basin made it difficult to wash and shave. The washbasin was stained and damaged. The outlet grille in the shower was loose and the shower seemed dirty. We didn’t have a shower as we considered it unsafe to stand in it. The bathroom door was hard to close without it banging. There seemed to not be enough filling in the pillows. When we got down for breakfast at about 8:30there wasn’t much left for us to have.

Booked 2 x double beds, when arrived was told this configuration does not exist. Was given a double, bunk bed single and another single bed. Staff asked what we booked through and said they will raise the issue with Hotels.com Room itself was very cramped for a family of 4 but this is a budget, Toilet, sink, shower were an all in one unit, clean but needed updating.

Improved Ibis

We'd stayed a while ago when it was a Mister Bed and it was a bit grim. Son stayed this time and says it's all been refurbished and was really lovely.

Basic but fine for an overnight stay

The rooms are small. However we needed a bed for the night on the way back from La Rochelle and it provided a clean bed and a hot shower for a good price. Don't expect anything but basic and you will be fine.

Unexpextedly bad. Front door of hotel was not locked/ it was propped open. No A/C with tiny windows for entire room. Linens are clean. Paint and surfaces are worn out and chipped. Bathroom and toilet not deep cleaned. Matresses show stains under the sheets.

Okay for a night but I won't bring everyone ( very basic ) bring yourself a kettle and coffee if you want cuppa during the night, and hygiene not the best ' shower room could do with a good scrubbing

The biggest issue was safety and security as the door didn’t lock. We had to move our luggage to our son’s room when we went out for dinner. The manager came when we came back but I’m absolutely sure this was known issue. We would like a refund for one of the rooms. When we left this morning nobody was on reception to complain to. Convenient, but not the greatest. Property could do with a bit more cleaning, and the property smelt of smoke. Considering that the booking was made indicating child and dog in attendance, we were placed on the top floor, furthest away and there is no lift.
