It was such a wonderful experience to stay at the Ionian Blue hotel people. It was so clean and the staff was so friendly and willing to help. We truly enjoyed our vacation in Lefkada.

Could do with refurbishing but worth the money. Great pool staff nice decking on beach could be cleaner but pros outweigh the cons. Good position great views. Would definitely go back there. Better then the stuck up attitude of Porto Galini down the road.

We saw Ionian Blue on a drive to Vasiliki and it looked so beautiful I did usual research on booking platforms only to find that it rated very poorly, eg. 6.5. Not to be deterred that evening as I was very keen to stay at Ionian Blue we popped in just as 100’s of wedding guests filed in for the reception. We had a look around the beautiful foyer/bar/view and were blown away. We decided to book for two nights and loved every minute. Firstly, Ionian Blue is a grand old dame. She is majestic. Sure some fittings could be refreshed, yes the gym has defunct equipment but the sheer beauty of this resort and the enthusiasm of the staff to help with every whim makes Ionian Blue the best stay we have had the pleasure of experiencing in the last two months of road tripping through Europe. If none of this has convinced you then lastly a dip in this clean area of Ionian Sea from the sun lounge platform or the huge immaculately clean pool after having the most superb grilled prawns and club sandwich. The food is sensational as is the service.

We stayed here 2 years ago. This was probably a great hotel 20 YEARS AGO. It has all the makings to be great again BUT someone has to put the money back into it. Elevators are old and dirty. The views once you get to your room are out of this world. Spend the money and make it nice again. This could be a 5 star hotel

This could be a fantastic hotel. Is listed as 5 star, this hotel is definitely not 5 star. Personnel are very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Airco was very bad, almost nonexistent, room unbearably hot which meant that we slept badly. Rooms basic. No drinking glasses in room, or coffee facilities, which you’d expect for a 5 star rating. Showering in bathroom meant that floor was always flooded.

Beautiful location. But 1 star property at best NOT 5 STAR.... Dirty, allot of deferred maintenance. Dirty elevators when they worked. No air conditioning in common areas lobby restaurants. Limited food options some staff good. But most were not accommodating to help . Hvac in room was not cooling. Mold mildew in bathrooms, bath shower fixtures not working properly. Worn out floors, walls furniture and linens .....

Great hotel & location, pool was a great size and decking area by the sea was lovely. The only thing that let the hotel down was the food at the buffet in the evening….. it was terrible.

This was a fine hotel years ago. Today the tear and wear makes it feel bad. There was mold in the bathrooms of units 603 and 604. When asked to talk to the management, the reply at reception was that they are not available. Poor guest service overall.

This property could be amazing unfortunately rooms are outdated. Hardly any air conditioning because it is controlled and room was registering at 29 degrees And extremely bad fumes come out of bathroom drains. Food was very good but no air conditioning in indoor dining area. It’s so unfortunate becsuse it misrepresents itself as a 5 star hotel. Staff was wonderful

Amazing location and architecture with iconic views but the condition of the building is pretty bad. The property has not been renovated since they built it. All of the facilities are old. The air conditioner wasn't working properly. The staff was trying to do their best but they didn't have that experience for 5-star hotel. Its a pity as the hotel is one of the best in Lefkada, but the operator is not the one that deserves.

Stay away from room 224 which is close to sewage

Our room was downgraded because the original booked room was smelling sewage (really bad that my wife got an allergic reaction). The reception neglected to make any compensation for the downgraded room to two twin beds instead of the original booked king size bed. Few minors were like missing hot water (only warm water locked to specific safe temperature at the shower) and super loud music from a wedding event outside the rooms.

Air conditioning is central you cannot control it in your bedroom 29°C constantly I wanted to die . Housekeeping entering bedroom whenever they feel like even though I left a signed do not disturb and they still came into my bedroom twice. Very disrespectful. Property not clean. I had two rooms and both very dirty. In one of the two room balconies a plant 15 cm high was growing. The one of the two bathroom toilet was leaking and was not cleaned you can see the stains between the lip of the toilet. Under beds in both rooms and the floors were very dirty and the furniture sticky. Definitely not a 5 star maybe a 2 star because lacking upkeep and maintenance. AC system the worse in both rooms will never reach 20 Celsius. Hotel rooms at least need updating in order to charge over 200 euros the night per room but the cleaning issue was my worst experience.

This place is over priced for what they offer. Spent over 200€ a night for a room with no air conditioning, broken toilet, broken television. Asked for the room to come get fixed while we went to the pool and beach. No one came to fix anything. We are asked back in the room smelled of feces. We asked to be moved into a new room. The new room was dirty, toilet was brown with stains, the door connecting to an other persons room was broken and had no lock. The couch outside was stained with god knows what, and the room again had no working AC. We slept in a room that was 29 degrees C (around 84 degrees F) we are in Greece during the summer. The hotel staff didn’t care or try to take care of it. So we left early and won’t refund me my money. I strongly recommend never going here. EXPEDIA is only giving me 75$ in fake cash for their site. I spent $570 for the two nights in hell.

We booked one night at that property because we were the guests at the wedding reception that took place that evening here at the property . The pool area was nice and they accommodated us with extra bed in the room for a 2nd child. But the air conditioning didn’t work at all. The thermostat in the room was locked at 30 C and and didn’t go down. The sweat was dripping from our faces while we were dressing to attend the reception. We asked for a different room but the hotel receptionist was not able to fix the issue. By the time the reception started both kids exhibited the signs of the heat stroke. We had no choice but to abandon the wedding reception and check out of the hotel much much earlier because we couldn’t imagine sleeping a night in this room. We had to drive 2.5 hours in the middle of the night to our house that has normal air conditioning. I didn’t expect that a 5 star hotel would have no air conditioning in the room.
