Secluded Setting On French Creek In The Southern Black Hills

"Good place to stay. On the 4th night I discovered that we were sharing the place with a mouse which I saw run across the floor in the lower level and then take refuge in the rocker-recliner. For this reason I give an overall rating of 4 stars which is still pretty good. Remove the mouse and make it mouse proof (which I myself have done to both of the houses I have owned immediately after I bought them) and this will easily be a 5 star rating. Excellent in every other way."

"We had a great stay at this property! It was a great home base for the things we wanted to do. The host was great and responded quickly to the one issue we had and it was resolved quickly. Enjoyed seeing wildlife every morning and evening from the deck. Would definitely recommend this property."

"Great house with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Both kids and adults enjoyed the game room. Very quiet area along lower French creek with wildlife visiting the property often. Very easy drive to Custer incase you need anything. Also, a quick way into Custer State Park wildlife loop. Due to a burn ban, we couldn't cook over the fire but there was a very nice blackstone and gas grill there for us to use. Large kitchen for food prep. You do have to go up a fight of stairs to enter the house, which might be hard for some but didn't bother us. Owner is local and very nice to work with. She definitely has a passion for the area and to be a great host. I would not hesitate to stay at any of her properties."

"We really enjoyed the peaceful country setting, porch overlooking the pond, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We had a group of 12 and there were enough beds and bathrooms for all of us to be comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, and Hot Springs. We would recommend!"

"The Big Horn Ranch was exactly as described! Beautiful surroundings! Easy access to all local activities in the Black Hills! Quiet, peaceful and the perfect size for our party of 7 adults. The host, Scott, was easy to reach anytime.The home is very warm and welcoming!"
