「Perfect location. Easy check in. Reasonable price」

「Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...

「Although we almost turned around upon walking down the block towards the guest house, I am glad we stayed there. Paul, the custodian, was charming and helpful, the facilities were adequate, and access to food make a simple breakfast was nice, but every room should have a fan. We appreciated the price, but will not stay there again.」

「Everything was fine. The accommodation was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was also clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. A nice bonus was having a fridge in the room and a kettle to prepare the tea and coffee provided. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again.」
