"The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days...

"The accommodation was perfect and we were lucky enough to come across a music festival whilst out hiking. The landlord of the pub across the road was very welcoming which added to our enjoyment. The house is near to the canal which is great for sightseeing. Highly recommend."
