Front of house looks quite good when you arrive, with friendly staff but everthing else from room cleanliness, to working electrics in the room, to choice and quality of breakfast, definetely needs some TLC. However, it was a good price and has free parking so, for what I needed (3 nights solo accomodation whilst helping my son do some DIY on his house) it was adequate.

This was just the ticket for me - competitively priced, good location and clean place to stay whilst visiting family nearby. I would describe it as 'functional' not necessarily where you would stay as a destination but good if you need somewhere to stay en route to where you are going or attending a conference etc. Breakfast had everything you would expect.

OK but there may be better other options

Slight air of dereliction in the car park and hotel common areas.Staff somewhat overstretched eg one person for Bar and Reception etc That said people were friendly and the room clean. Slight noise from main road +East Midlands airport meant the window couldn't be left open. Car park was free if you booked in which was a + It wasn't particularily cheap but did the job.

A clean, but basic stay

The bathroom, bed, bed linen and towels were clean and comfy and there was a kettle for tea and coffee and a reasonable tv that worked well. Unfortunately, the side table lights didn’t work and the air conditioning unit in the bathroom was constantly on and very noisy.
