“The old Hilo Seaside Hotel on the corner of Kalanianaole Highway and Banyan Drive, across Reed's Bay prime location central to Hilo staples like Ken's and The Ponds Restaurants. The hotel itself consists of buildings with a central tropical courtyard or the swimming pool. Small gym, bikes to borrow, a mediation and common area. The room was clean and cozy. Much effort made in reducing carbon footprint by having the ability to open windows instead of only air conditioning.”

“My main concern was the ubiquitous presence of cameras in the common areas of the house. We were warned about that peculiarity when we checked in. Nonetheless, it felt very uncomfortable to be walking around knowing you were recorded on a continuous basis. Otherwise, the property was pleasant, in very good shape and clean.
